First and foremost I will say that having booked a mobile home at this site through Thomson Alfresco we were pre warned that it was a basic site,so I was fully expecting this.
The good point.. it is good for access to Paris.Bus picks you up at campsite gates, drops you off at Joinville-sur-pont train station and 20 minutes later you are in the centre of Paris. As this was the aim of our first week of the holiday I can't say anything bad about the transport links from the site to Paris.Would recommend purchasing a mobilis travel pass from the campsite especially if you have children with you we certainly got value for money over our week's stay.
The bad points.. as I said I was expecting a basic site..it is most certainly that.. small shop, restaurant,a couple of well used table tennis tables and a spa area and that's it.
Mobile home was adequate, clean however if you like a private setting forget it.. there were four mobile homes situated within a sort of square emplacement all looking right into one another and one way in and out so you can forget any degree of privacy at this site.Overgrown grass/weeds surrounded the mobile home and the emplacements are certainly not appealing to the eye..! No barbecues although with the close proximity of the mobile homes to one another I
could see barbecues causing issues as smoke would be bellowing into all mobile homes.
We booked a week commencing 21st June and were unfortunately booked in at the same time as hundreds of youths who were participating in a nearby sports competition.Needless to say the noise was extreme at times. Also I lost count of the number of workmen who were also residing at the site.Work vans all over the place, obviously use this place for cheap accommodation when working in Paris or nearby..again noise was deplorable and we had to endure a night of drunken shouting and bawling.I don't know what the site or Thomson Alfresco's policy is on group bookings but it appears anything goes at this site. Also paid 24 euros for wifi access that worked two days out of seven..!
Other than the access to Paris there is nothing at this site that would entice me back..it is not a family holiday park, which is a pity because it is situated next to a nice river and parc de Tremblay, which is nearby, is lovely too.If they changed their policy on who they allow to book accommodation and put some money into facilities then I don't see why this couldn't be a popular family orientated site, however in it's present condition I will not be back.

Hello Weewoosy,

Thank you for your comment, it will be very valuable for our next guests. Thank you for your views on our teams and services offered, this will encourage.

As you specify too, our camping village is idealmy located for exploring Paris, Disney, river "Marne" and Tremblay Park nearby. As aaid, we sell it in all honesty, it is true that this site is "basic" but it is also an excellent value for money within 10 km from Paris.

Best regards

When we read the reviews we were horrified and even considered booking a hotel elsewhere in Paris and losing the money we had paid to stay here. However, we considered it and decided it was just a base for our Disneyland trip and that we would stick with it. I can say, I'm very glad we did.

Yes, the site is basic. There is a very small shop and a restaurant. The shop sells everything you would expect at a campsite shop and the owner/staff are very friendly and despite limited English he was very polite and helpful. I cannot comment on the restaurant as it wasn't peak season it was closed but we were given a menu and the food looked reasonably priced and enjoyable.

The caravan/cabin itself was a 'Thompson Al Fresco' cabin and it was absolutely spotless. The bathroom was modern and spotlessly clean. Although it was small there was a reasonably sized table and two moderately sized bedrooms. You don't feel cramped at all and there was 5 of us. I cannot comment on the camping facilities although people who had camped were in reception and sounded pleased with it. It looked nice from what we saw.

It is an easy drive from Disneyland and close to the city centre. We were worried we would hear noise (from sirens etc) but our sleep was undisturbed despite the torrential rain outside on the first night. The cooking facilities are also basic but good enough to cobble together a meal.

I am not rating this campsite 5 stars because it is luxurious but because for what you pay and what the campsite sell themselves as it is very good and a generally pleasant place to stay.

This campsite is miles from Paris Centre, you have to take a bus, them suburban train, then metro, which costs a fortune. The toilets were disgusting, the rubbish wasn't emptied and was overflowing and the pitches for camper vans were tiny and sectioned of by a rubbish little fence.s. The entrance and reception were nice with lots of info and friendly receptionist. This could be an amazing campsite given some TLC but for 35 euros I wished we had taken a chance and stayed in the roadside. Be warned! Campsite at Bois De Boulogne much better but was full at the time of our visit.

We spent one night here whilst cycle touring the Western Front and in to Paris.....the worst campsite we have ever stayed on and without doubt the most filthiest.

Given a pitch that was terrible and all tents seemed to be rammed in to a spare space and classed as a pitch. We were allocated a pitch that once we seen it refused it and they provided another, about twenty minutes later another couple turned up who had been given the previous pitch...customer service terrible.

Showers and toilets Bangkok Hilton style.

And don't forget the motorway that the campsite is right next to, that they don't mention on there site.

AVOID IF YOU CAN AND SLEEP ROUGH...IT'S SAFER.

Room Tip: Go to Camping Bourlogne on west side of France

I stayed there 4 days with my family (4 adults). We stayed there with a camping car; we only used camping showers (not so clean). We bought at the reception 4 days 'Visit Paris', essential to explore the city and use freely bus, RER (train) and metro. The bus just at the gate of the camping took us to the station, where we could always find a train to Paris.
On site there is a shop, a restaurant and a play area for kids.
