“Perfect hotel for short Disney trip”
Reviewed 7 July 2014

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in June. When you drive up to the hotel it is very impressive (the pictures do not do it enough justice), on first check-in we were given a warm welcome by the friendly reception staff and shown to our room.

The room itself was ideal (we opted for the duplex apartment) very clean and welcoming, the beds were very comfortable and we were treated to fresh linen and towels each day.

On the first night we decided to grab a pizza from the on site restaurant and take it back to our room, the food was lovely and quite reasonable in price, just what we needed after a long day of travelling.

The hotel pool was lovely although not as warm as I would have liked, I couldn't locate the rest of the spa facilities such as the sauna or solarium however I am sure that if I had asked they would have kindly shown me the way.

All guests can enjoy a basic breakfast buffet which was ample however quite a distance from our room which was the only gripe. Breakfast included patisserie, ham, cheese, coffee and juices amongst others.

We chose this hotel due to its proximity to Disneyland Paris and I would recommend it to anyone over the Disney Hotels should you wish to save a bit of money, a taxi will cost you around 30 euros however the hotel does offer a complimentary shuttle service to a nearby train station to which Disneyland Park is a short trip away at just under 3 euro per person.

All-in-all a lovely hotel with friendly staff, I would recommend this place for anyone wanting to visit Disneyland Parks or as a hub for visiting paris itself.

Room Tip: Ask for a room closer to the breakfast room as some of the rooms can be quite a distance away.

I am very upset customer at Hotel Paxton Paris with poor room quality, very poor customer service, dishonest Front Desk, and a disappointing night stay.

I have a 8 nights Duplex reservation that specifically requested for working air-conditioning.

On 5 June check-in, Front desk re-confirmed my apartment has a working air-con. But air-conditioning was not working inside the room. When we notified Front desk, he brushed us off with "Whole hotel has no aircon. Technician is coming is 20mins". We waited for 3 hours and was later told that "technician can only come tomorrow".

We discovered that Front Desk lied about "whole hotel has no air-conditioning." Only when I went down to Front Desk personally to stand in front of him to demand a change of room, he then gave us a new room with working air-con 5 rooms down the same corridor.

It took 3 hours to resolve a simple air-con issue when he could have addressed problem immediately by a room change. Instead we were left frustrated and repeatedly lied to the whole night.

Front Desk should be more honest and transparent about situation- only our room's aircon is not working, not whole hotel. They blatantly ignore our needs and lying to us is totally unacceptable behavior to a customer.

I hope Paxton Hotel Resort & Spa will take remedial action to improve room quality and customer service.

This hotel is very good for all the types of people.... However is more for bussines, but we were a 4-family and it was fine! We stayed there 5 nights, the room is big, you have a little kitchen too. The italian restaurant si very nice, the food is good and the prices too. We used the pool twice and it is clean and nice and the bowling area is Okay but you have to pay... Something at 10 € Per Game for a person. The breakfast was good it starts at 6:30 and ends at 11:00, the stuff are nice and helpful. The only Bad thing is that the hotel is in the middle of nowhere.... But the hotel has a free shuttle that goes from 9 to 11:30 and from 16 to 20:30 every 10 minutes every day to the nearest station "Bussy st. georges" and you can easily in Paris or Disneyland. I would return here soon!

We stayed at this hotel for three nights and it was very pleasant. When we decided to visit Paris, we took advantage of the free shuttle to Bussy St Georges RER station, which was a five minute drive away. Included in our room rate was breakfast, which was very ample. This hotel is close to the motorway and makes access to Disney, the Champagne region and other areas around Paris pretty good. We ate at the Italian restaurant, L'Origano, and our dining experience was very pleasant...very attentive staff and delicious food. All in all, a great stay. I would return if staying in the area.

Room Tip: Avoid the ground floor rooms leading to the restaurant and those leading to the breakfast room. Thes...

Booked this hotel on booking.com mainly based on other trip advisor reviews. Thanks folks!

We stayed for 3 nights and the experience from check-in to checkout was pleasant. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The only thing missing from the room was air conditioning. There was one in the room but it was not yet working. Workmen were still doing some work on our corridor. That being said, it was cool enough that this was not a problem for us. We were also on the 1st floor( primer etage) and able to open our window for fresh air.

We did take the free shuttle to the RER station and that was a convenient 5 Min ride away. We also ate at the restaurant connected to the hotel twice and that was positive. Good Italian food and friendly staff.

Room Tip: Get a room which is not on the main corridor of the ground floor or the corridor leading to the brea...

Dear Guest,

We want to thank for your excellent comments about our hotel and our staff.

We are delighted to see that everything was fine and you have appreciated our Italian restaurant.
We have also noticed your remark concerning the lack of air conditioning in the room. As we said in previous answers, not all the rooms are equipped with air conditioned but we are working on that and we hope to have all rooms with air conditioned very soon.

We would be happy to welcome you again for your next trip in Paris.
Sincerely yours

General info: 20 min walk to Bussy St George where the train station is. Then 30 min train to Paris or 10 min to Disney. There is a Mcdonalds 5 min walk from the hotel. And a big supermarket 5/10 min walk. Hotel is geared up for business people and couples not families.
The good: On arrival to the hotel the outside looks very swanky looks expensive for the reletively cheap price paid.
The rooms are nice and clean with kitchette and fridge and the beds are very comfortable no noise in hotel
Breakfast is pretty good, continetal only however not a huge choice.
Staff seem helpful and friendly and gave us a big fan to use in room.
Bowling and Pool tables are excellent and pricing is good for paris.€5 each bowling for 1 game and €15 per hour pool.
The italian resturant "Origamo"is superb quality and the price isnt bad for paris.

The bad: No air con in our room, 70% have aircon, shame as we had to open a huge window that we didnt feel 100% happy opening, they did give us a fan however when our toddler daughter got too hot.
Had to pay for crockery €10 for crockery even though it is a kitchette, kinda defeats the object.
Shower didnt work
Toilet roll seemed like it was rocking horse poo, had to ask for it when it ran out.
After cleaners had been to clean the room (which was very late in the afternoon) it smelled of smoke, i also smelt it as i was passing other rooms that were being cleaned, they were smoking on the job which is appauling, main reason for 3/5 rather than 4.
The swimming pool is not child friendly, no attendants and is deep all the way round.

Conclusion: they do the big things well but the small touches not well, and these are things that really do let the hotel down. It is not geared up for families with small children, the hotel is full of business people, but the staff are friendly and not too far from paris and disneyland and price was reasonable. 3 star hotel i feel not 4. 3/5

We thank you for your comments.

We are glad to see that you spent a good time in our hotel and that you have appreciated the comfort and the cleanliness of our rooms.

We have noticed your remark concerning the lack of air conditioning in the room, and we confirm you that not all the rooms are equipped with air conditioned. We are working on that and we hope to have all rooms with air conditioned very soon.

We also inform you that we are a non smoking hotel and that our staff doesn’t smoke in the rooms. However, some clients are smoking in the rooms even if it’s forbidden but we can’t survey them while they are in their rooms.

Concerning the swimming pool, it’s deep 1.50m and it’s written at the entrance that there are no attendants.
