“No practices to treat ocurring problems”
Reviewed 12 August 2013

This is quite a nice hotel up in the mountains. Basically very suitable to be used e.g. during sports trips. Our group consisted of 9 persons. We stayed at the hotel for three nights (July 2013). However, the water boiler in our appartment was not working, being out of order for one third of our stay (only ice cold water available). We actively tried to get some solution to the problem e.g. keys to another room or to a spa being on the very same corridor! Some of us had three sports occasions without washing in two days... No one was willing to discuss e.g. price reductions. As we left we were given an e-mail address to continue the negotiations. But no one ever bothered to answer them. The staff could have easily done "something" since this happened to us during the first night of our stay.

This is another cheap no-frills you get what you're advised apartment option as has been commented on previous reviews.

I travelled with a friend and 4 kids in total so we needed a room with 6 beds. Room 219 had a double bed, a sofa-double-bed and a bunk bed for a total of 6 sleeping. The kitchen allowed us to cook a hot meal for the kids after a day on the slopes.

Be advised free WIFI is only available in the hall and once you have checked in **but** rooms have an ethernet connector to which you could possibly link up an Airport Express or similar to obtain your own WIFI access in the room. Will try this out if I stay here again.

Room Tip: Check possible wifi tip for all rooms in the review.

After travelling since 5am we arrived around 1pm but reception firmly closed, luckily we had a car so could leave our bags in there. Staff did pass us as we were standing in reception but didn't acknowledge us.

Check in is between 3-7pm but didn't open until 3.20pm where a lot of people were now trying to check in so long queue. Finally got out keys but linen was not available (given out at reception in a neatly folded pile, prison style!) 1 hand and bath towel each, 1 pillowcase each and two sheets. Studio neat and functional but sofa bed with bunks.

Very tired by now, bath was still full of dirty laundry from previous tennants. Not acceptable!!! Just wanted a shower and lay down but couldn't do either as laundry in bath and had to make up pull out bed :(

Eventually got someone to take laundry and clean bathroom. Bed very uncomfortable, pillows very uncomfortable (little nuggets if foam filled them) and if we did have a family, there were only four flimsy blankets and two pillows, you would have to use the sofa bed pillows if there were more of you.

I would say its like a decent hostel as I've used self catering studios before but at least had towels and laundry in room ready. I could not grasp why, if you cannot check in until 3pm, the rooms were not even cleaned of the last persons laundry! They make a big deal of you leaving the room tidy, stripped and rubbish taken out to the bins, yet can't even give a person a room which is ready for occupation.

Such a shame as location is great, few minutes from slopes and restaurants, supermarket and bakers five minute walk away. Don't like the fact that residents pay extra for use of jacuzzi/sauna/steam room. There are ski lockers included though. Also, on check out we did not book an appointment for them to check room and collect keys, but phoned the emergency number at 6am, the operator was friendly and efficient. Loved the resort as a whole but will definitely not book to stay here again. Would love it if they took on board basic etiquette such as putting linen in room for people and maybe a small bar area where you could get a drink or snack.

Please check my other reviews, I am fair always fair, thankfully my negative reviews are few and far between.

We arrived at 11am, but could not check in until 3pm. We stood in reception for a while and where completely ignored by staff. We went away and hung around till 3.

Came back to find 40+ people in reception. Checkin was supposed to open at 3pm but eventually opened at 20 past.

After a long wait, I got my keys but was told they had no sheets so come back later.

Went to room and found there was no bed (we had to convert the sofa), the bath was full of other peoples towels and sheets and room had not been cleaned, just tidyed by previous occupier.

Went back to reception joined massive queue again. When served was told cleaner would come soon. Was given my sheets to take away, a bit like prison really.

So I go to room, really tired by now and generally gutted at my choice. Really want a shower, been travelling all day. Waited 15-20 mins, no cleaner. Back to reception, queued for 3rd time.

Cut a long story short, cleaner turned up eventually.

Location is good, staff seem friendly. Met a dog on the landing.

Am I gutted I chose this hotel? Yes
Would I recommend it? No.
Would I come back again? Never.

All I ask for in a hotel is reasonably prompt service, a bed not a sofa, and a clean room.

ps. Dont expect use of hotel facilities to be included in the price, its all extra.

Now, 6 hours after arriving in the resort and 2 hours after checkin was supposed to open I will try to get some sleep.

Very, very disappointed.

We were a bit worried about staying here having seen some of the other reviews, but we didn't have any choice, given budget and time constraints. We paid $137 for the room for one night. The apartments were really busy, but they still got us our key sorted out in good time, and politely and efficiently. The room had two hobs, a dishwasher, decent table and a good shower. All of it seemed pretty much new, bedding and towels, all plentiful and more than adequate.

Check-out did see lots of people trying to leave at the same time on Sunday morning, but the girls at the desk and checking the rooms were happy and super efficient, and cleared us through in about twenty minutes. For six people accommodation on the sloes I thought it represented great value, and a good budget option.

It isn't a hotel, and you have to check in and out their way. Plenty of parking available outside and around, we loaded and unloaded right outside the main entrance.

Clean and tidy apartments with basic kitchenette.
€500 deposit required on arrival and only get this back after you have stripped all the bedding (linen provided you make the beds up though) and cleaned the bathroom including all sinks and kitchen sink and taken the rubbish bins out, all whilst the receptionist watches you. Only then will you get your deposit back.
Look out for Jack Nichoolson from the film 'The Shining' he must still be there in the hotel somewhere !

Room Tip: Book somewhere else
