There is a great deal of choice at Bajo de Guia in Sanlucar with a dozen restaurants in a row vying for your custom. We chose Casa Juan randomly - not too busy and not too empty on a Saturday lunchtime in October. The food was great, really fresh Frito Variada to share as a starter with anchovies, salmonitas, dog fish bites and some tiny flat fish. For our main courses we had two versions of monkfish - grilled on a brocheta and in the local Sanluquen sauces of onions, garlic and tomatoes. Total bill including aperitifs, wine and coffees was €55 -not bad at all. Great views of the estuary and the landing craft ferrying 4x4s over to the nature reserve opposite. Well worth a visit but I'm sure their nearby competitors are just as good.
