Before we went on holiday, Christine the owner responded well to all my messages and was very helpful.
Unfortunately it wasn't the best of starts to the holiday. We assumed that you would be able to find the villa address using sat nav, however the sat nav didn't recognise it. So we ended up driving to the centre of Vinuela and asking directions. When we finally reached what we thought would be a road, ended up being a complex. With the villa numbers in no logical order. So we were driving round for ages trying to find the villa. The very basic directions on the holiday listing were not helpful at all.
We finally find it, to find the cleaner who was supposed to meet us no where to be seen, the gate locked and the key no where to be seen. Which forced me to call Chratine the owner in Ireland from my mobile, which was obviously very expensive. While they tried to sort it out we ended up being in the hot 36 degree sun with my 4 year old for 40 minutes, before someone turned up with the key.
The villa itself is actually a nice homely villa, the pool was lovely, it's a shame it was 40+ degrees most days as we could only use it a few times. The villa did have a horrible smell of stale smoke, and there was no basic information on things like the wifi, or what to do with the rubbish, so we were having to text Christine to find out all this information.
Overall it was a good holiday, and my 4 year old son loved the pool and the location was nice and quiet and very scenic and pretty.
