“Wow”
Reviewed 18 May 2014

It was quite hard to get an appointment. The caves are more about the stalagmites and limestone forms all quite outstanding our guide Jose was great showing patience with our party of 4 all of us getting on a bit the stairs are step wet and in some places quite confined informative and enthusiastic guide all added to experience. Cant recommend enough. you wont se bats as they are roosting although one did pay us a visit, adding to the experience it takes nearly an hour. Remember to book and don't wait at the bat centre go straight to the cave also look for great view

“Great cave”
Reviewed 29 September 2013 via mobile

The cave was really interesting and impressive! The guide spoke spanish but gave english explanation notes. Be sure to make reservations because there's no office or anything up there!
Oh, and we did not see a lot of bats, it's mainly about the cave :-)

“Takes your breath away”

Well, it was a unique experience. We have never been down caves lived in by our forebears millions of years ago, seen their drawings, learned what the ate and how archeologists have studied them. Simply amazing limestone formations of great age.

“Interesting cave and karst features”
Reviewed 11 September 2013

We turned up too late for the guided tour at 11, and had to wait until the next tour at 12.30. There are no means of booking when you're at the site even though there's a small interpretative centre 100 yards from the cave. So we waited on the site rather than drive down to the village again.
The caves are worth the wait. There are a lot of steps all the way down, and a lot of steps all the way back up. The guide spoke in Spanish, but she provided a page in English with an explanation.
It was fascinating walking through the different chambers. We saw stalagmites and stalactites, cave drawings, and where they had found human bones. Also a few bats - nothing to worry about.
It's also nice and cool on a hot day!
