Myself and my family stayed for two weeks and it was amazing.W e were ungraded to adjoining villas which were situated in a vast garden filled with ponds pools and a wonderful array of plants.
The rooms were fantastic spacious and well porportioned and laid out.
The main pool was 9 feet deep and quite big and had all we could want,
The staff were lovely and very helpfu.lThe hotel is about 10 mins by tut tut to patong beach and costs around 400 babht one way and it is worth the trip to see the town both by day and by night.
The hotel is also close to tiger kingdom or the elephant treking as well as many other activities.
There is a 7/11 beside the hotel which means you can purchase beer and supplies as well as getting your washing and ironing done for a pittance.
We wer so impressed by this hotel that we rebooked for dec it is truly a beautiful place and the people are wonderful.

This was our second stay at this resort and we will definitely be staying again. We stayed in a One bedroom villa which we found comfortable for our family of 4 (children 11 and 8). The choice at breakfast was amazing and the cocktails by the pool later in the day. We found the staff to be helpful and friendly. This resort offers one of the best locations in Karon. The only downfall at the moment is the renovations being carried out. So be aware there will be noise from these works during the day. Im sure the end result will be amazing and we can't wait to return to check it out.

We booked this hotel in January (May arrival) but were not informed of the building work scheduled to take place during our stay. When we found out by luck via a note on the Hotel website I mailed the hotel and were assured the work would not affect us. Check in was fine, rooms ok (not as good as other 5* hotels on the island), could not try any of the advertised restaurants as all closed. The ony facility open was the Pacific in main hotel which was crazy at breakfast time. Food of good quality, well presented and staff in the restaurant excellent as was the female pool attendant at the Coconut pool. Unfortunately the efforts of the staff were let down by the renovation work which spoiled the last 2 days of a 6 day stay, noise unbearable, pneumatic drills all day one day! Had this been on day 1 & 2 we would have moved...

Room Tip: Do not go until renovations complete.

Thank you for taking the time to write your concerns regarding your recent stay in our Resort .

Let me start by apologizing for the event that lead to your stay with us being below standard upheld by the Moevenpick Resort & Spa Karon Beach Phuket.

Your comment about the room upgrading project in the main building, we continuously strive to provide the best of product and service for a more enjoyable experience and at times it is necessary to make improvements. From May to October, the hotel will have also limited dining options available. ( this was communicated to our Toru Operators and On line agents ) An international menu is available in our all day dining restaurant, Pacifica Restaurant, as well as themed buffet nights on our lagoon lawn. As for your comment about the noisy and loud construction, we have briefed and informed the contractor to strictly limited construction time. We hope that the problem is significantly reduced.

Please accept our apologies for the problem you encountered. We trust that this experience has not permanently marred your opinion of Moevenpick Resort & Spa Karon Beach Phuket and you will give us one more opportunity to accommodate you.

Best Regards,

I have been a guest at the Movenpick Karon twice now and I am about to book for a third time. The staff are fantatsic! When my mother broke her ankle in the streets of Karon Markets the staff at the Movenpick went above and beyond to ensure my mother was well looked after, arranging a wheel chair, golf carts to get around the resort if needed and even arranged a Dr to attend to my mother at the time of the incident!

Facilities are second to none - I would not stay anywhere else when visiting Karon!

Room Tip: Spend the extra little bit for a villa - you wont be sorry!

1. Check-in was very slow (around 30 minutes in total). The staff gave the impression that they weren't expecting us...although we had booked in January 2014!

2. There is currently major building work going on around the whole resort. This is incredibly noisey...especially during the day around the main pool. Due to the referbishment, one of the pools is closed, and none of the restuarants are currently open. We were not informed of any building work on booking and no one contacted us to let us know about the building work prior to out arrival.

3. One of the main reasons we booked this hotel was because of the kids club...which on the website states that it accepts children from 3+. They don't...the minimum age is actually 4+. Therefore, our daughter was unable to attend the kids club during our 10 day stay.

4. The staff were nice, but some of the famous Thai hospitality seemed to be missing. The breakfast staff seemed fatigued. ..we would serve ourselves tea and coffee most mornings whilst the staff stood watching. Also, the manual in the room stated that the hotel would arrange car hire, but when requested we were told this was not a service they offered and they were unable to recommend any local companies.

5. The premium villa was lovely, but limited storage for a family of three.

6. Breakfast buffet was very good but often leftovers from the night before.

In saying all this, would probably return in the future. Location amazing, resort beautifully maintained, lovely beach, nice modern / clean rooms.

As for the Kids Club with a free access for children of 3 years old and up featuring this special on our website is a surprise to me. We will across check all websites and review it. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.

I will share your comment with our Recreation Manager so that children who wish to be on their own have free access in the special designated play zone, but as soon as the hotel team will take over the supervision we will have a small charge per hour.

Be certain that your service comments in regards of FB and Concierge service have been reviewed with the department heads in order to initiate immediate improvements along with re-emphasizing our service standards during our ongoing training programs.

May I take this opportunity to assure you that we always seek to maintain the very highest standards of quality and service and it is my sincere hope that this experience will not deter you from visiting our resort next time you are in Phuket.
