We have stayed at this hotel before and it seems to get better every time. The rooms are simple but more than adequate. The real advantage of staying here is the superb quality of food and helpfulness of the staff. The menus are excellent value and the food as good or better than any higher priced hotels anywhere in France. It is a pity we tend to stay here on our way to and from our final destination in Europe.

Encouraged by the positive reports about this hotel on Tripadvisor, we booked to stay 3 nights at the beginning of May - and we were not disappointed. The hotel is in a lovely old building with later additions. We had a 'superior' room ('Alsace') overlooking the beautiful gardens, 2 windows, lovely light, plenty of place, immaculately clean with a pristine bathroom.
The owners and staff were very welcoming. The food was delicious and all in all very good value. The hotel is in a quiet and relaxing setting. Didn't get the chance to speak French as the owners and staff were speaking English!
The purpose of the trip was to visit WW2 places of interest and Commonwealth War Grave Commission cemeteries. It was an ideal base, the roads were very quiet.

Every year, we spend our first and last night in France at the St. Louis. It is just superb. Good English is spoken and they cannot do enough to make you comfortable.

The food is tremendous - light and delicious. One of the best breakfasts we've had. The newer rooms are more comfortable than those in the main house.

Plenty of parking, a lift to all floors, a guest sitting-room all add to the enjoyment.

Stayed at this lovely little hotel overnight while on a shopping trip to France and Belgium. Lots of off street parking. Lovely gardens. Friendly staff and excellent food. Menu starts from 24 euros for 3 courses up to about 45 euros. Wine menu starts about 18 euros. Bedrooms are bright and clean but fairly basic. No tea/coffee facilities in the room. Bathroom was small but had everything you need in it. Our bathroom hairdryer worked fine but made an awful noise. If you want breakfast in your room you can have it at no extra cost - just order with reception. Continental style Breakfast was 9 euros p.person. TV only has one english channel but we did not go to watch tv so did not bother us. Hotel is in a lovely village. Turn right out of the hotel and up the road a short way is a lovely town square with excellent bakers on the corner and a beautiful church. Go round the back of the church and there is a bank with cashpoint facilities. The square has several small bars serving great food to suit all budgets. If you go straight past the church and turn the bend there is a small supermarket as well.
Would definitely recommend this hotel - it is a little hidden gem.

Booked this hotel as part of a travel package. There was little info provided but we were pleasantly surprised. The owners are truly friendly, multilingual and very accommodating.
It's not often that a question about the Vin de Table leads to the host nipping off to get the answer from the Internet and giving us a copy! The rooms were interesting but clean and comfortable. The hotel front garden is a marvel, and had it been warmer we might have been able to sit and enjoy it too.
But the gem in the crown was the restaurant. Wow, fantastic cuisine in a variety of styles at very fair prices.
I highly recommend this hotel for an eating experience.
One quaint feature is the locks on the bedroom doors. See Pic 3 below for the key.
