My friend and I stumbled upon La Baie Des Anges during a recent trip to Annecy. The restaurant was buzzing and we were lucky to get a table but they manage to squeeze us in. The waiters were immediately very friendly and although I attempted my pigeon French, their English was far better. I had a rather decadent meal of foie gras followed by steak tartare both of which were lovely, The steak tartare was massive so I struggled to finish it. My friend had salmon tartare followed by lamb....again both very nice. Good portions and great quality food We told one of the waiters it was my birthday and after choosing not to go with dessert, they brought out creme caramel type pudding with a sparkler dancing to Robin Thicke which they'd put on at my friend's request as she said I'd like it. Altogether a funny, enjoyable night. i would highly recommend it
We decided to return to the restaurant 2 days later after a number of our friends had completed the Etape. This time there were 10 of us. The staff remembered us and looked after us and our family perfectly. Another highly enjoyable evening!
