Le Chalet is a family-run hotel set in stunning mountain scenery. Great for walking if you're fit enough, lovely to look at anyway. The food is good and the rooms comfortable. The half-board option is particularly good value. It was very hot when we were there, which made the swimming pool particularly welcome.

This family-hotel is a great place to stay when you are in the Vercors region. All rooms (in the annex) have balconies and a splendid view on the Vercors range. They are spacious and comfortable (but not very soundproof, which can be a nuisance with noisy neighbours,). Half-board gives excellent value for money and service is impeccable. The hotel has a swimming-pool which I did not visit but it is covered and looks fine.

The arrival from the South is up a very difficult road but the route from the North is much better.
the room we stayed in was in the annex across the road, no problem the road is very quite.
The room was large with a balcony with a great view over the mountains.
There is a covered pool on a large patio with loungers and tables. Unfortunately we picked a cold wet day for our stay and the pool was not very warm.
There appear to be lots of walks in the area.
The restaurant in the hotel is very good we had a wild boar stew, a first for us, on the 29 euro menu.
There is a large wine list with prices from about 28 euros.
Breakfast is taken in the annex and was very good.
We will return in the future.

Spent a week staying in this hotel while on a walking holiday. Food and service were really excellent. Bedrooms were comfortable and there was a nice outside terrace on which to have a drink. Would stay again - the countryside is stunning.

Beautifully located in the landscape and mountains of the Vercors, this hotel in the village of Gresse en Vercors provides a very friendly welcome and helpful service, good rooms and on half board an excellent breakfast and dinner (5 courses). Wine is extra but there is a very good wine list, especially dedicated to wines from the Rhone Valley. Good value for money at €80 euros per person per night.

We were having a walking holiday and there are great walks in the immediate vicinity as well as within a few minutes car drive. There's a swimming pool but I didn't use it. WiFi is provided.

I much enjoyed staying in this hotel.

Room Tip: The hotel has a more modern annexe on the opposite side of a not very busy road. Breakfast is served...

Have just returned with my husband from staying in this hotel for a week with a large group of walkers. The premises are split over two sites with a road running through the middle and this is the one disadvantage, although it proved to be smaller than we thought at first. The original building contains an excellent restaurant where we ate stupendously well, but the breakfast room is on the other side of the road. The bedrooms in the older building have been refurbished to a very good standard. We particularly liked the bathroom with large, walk-in shower, separate toilet cabin within the room and plenty of space for one's own toiletries. We understood from others in the party that the rooms on the other side of the road are slightly larger, some have baths and there is a fridge in the room. This side also has better views and the small swimming pool is on this site too. Staff, many of them family, are delightful and could not have been more helpful.
We walked in some of the most spectacular and majestic landscape I have ever seen. Stunning sheets and crags of rock, sun-speckled mountain pathways and soft, lush meadows. Would happily return to the area and this hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms in the more modern building are likely to be quieter. That said, we had Room 9 in the old bui...

We spent a fantastic three days in the area and there are plenty of things to do. We had a fantastic room with views to the mountains.

Loved the family ran hotel, the place , the people, the pool and the amenities of the area.
