I stayed here one night as I was driving from northern Italy to France.

It was about 37 degrees outside, so I was relieved to feel air-conditioning as I went in. However, for whatever reason, the air-conditioning is in the corridors only. The room was like an oven.

I decided to send e-mails to people who wanted me to let them know when I had reached Dettelbach. No WLAN. Strange, I thought, as they advertise free WLAN. As it is they do have it but you can use it only if you are in a room near reception!!! You can also use it in the car park and nearly as far as the 3D cinema, just not in the rooms.

The bathroom could have used a good clean. The toilet was pretty gross and the sink leaked.

When she eventually turned up, the receptionist was very friendly.

I think I would pay an extra couple of Euros and stay somewhere else next time.

Room Tip: If you do decide to stay there, ask for a room near reception if you need WLAN.

We've been here for 1 overnight stay on our travel back home. The price it's definitively cheap 39€ for 2 persons. We were not expecting a 5* hotel and we were quite satisfied.
Room was clean but not so big, the bed was a queen size.

The only remark that i've is if you take a shower the room becomes immetiately quite wet and you need to open the window.

We had some idiots that start shauting at 6am but that isn't the lodging fault. Since we they woke us up we took advantage to leave early morning.

check in can be through reception or also by an automatic machine due the arrival time.
check out you just need to drop the key. quick and easy.

in the neigboughood you've a Burger King and a Cinema.

PLUS: PETS are free of charge.

Arrived just before midnight in driving snow only to find the motel reception closed. Entry is via an outside machine where you type in your reservation details and pay by debit/credit card before you receive your room key which also gets you into the motel itself. This entry system is not that easy to follow. The room was small but clean and the shower was hot. The first time I saw anyone was in the morning when the staff, despite language difficulties were very helpful the breakfast was plentiful and of a very good standard for a motel. The hotel is approximately a 3 hour drive north of Munich and is an ideal stopover. At 45 Euros a night this is good value.

We have used this hotel several times in the past. On this occasion, when we stayed there on 8th July, our room was at the back of the hotel, on the 1st floor. We arrived in the afternoon, put our gear in the room and went out. It was very hot at the time. When we got back in the evening, the room was like a furnace. We opened the window, only to find a large cherry tree blocking the window almost completely. We couldn't sleep at all that night, it was awful, far too hot and no air at all coming in through the blocked window.
My wife wanted to cancel our return booking, ( for 13th July ) but I said I'd ask for a different room, at the front of the hotel.
We thought we'd never have a night as bad as that again. How wrong we were...............
On 13th July, we were given room 211. Again, we went out and when we came back at around 8.45pm, some *RSEHOLE, ( and there is no other word for him ) He was in the room directly below us, had parked a large refrigeration van outside our window and he was using the hotels electricity to keep the refrigerated van cold !!! Many guests were banging their windows shut, in anger. We tried that, but you could still hear the noise of the refrigeration van, it was as loud as a loud vacuum, cleaner, so loud that you could even hear it through the closed double glazed window... We had to open the window again to let some air in, because it was very very hot again.
It went on all night, and with no one in reception, ( only limited staff attendance here, and they all go home at 8pm, ) there was no one to complain to. Another night with no sleep whatsoever.
I took photos of the van. As soon as I got home, I e-mailed the hotel and complained, told them about the van, and sent them pictures of it, clearly using their electricity. Did I get a reply ? No, so I tried again, sent the e-mail again. No reply. They are not remotely interested.
It's a cheap hotel, it's ok, but like Ryanair or Easyjet, when things go wrong, your left to paddle your own canoe.
Don't say I didn't warn you.
