“A comfortable peaceful cottage with all mod cons.”
Reviewed 12 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

A comfortable peaceful cottage quaint stone building and yet modernised including wifi, tv, stereo, cd, ch. A beautiful garden which catches the sun up steep steps at the back. Easy parking on the road. It is in the quiet village of Lindale with 2 pubs and 1 shop. It is a perfect cottage for one or two people but it is in Lindale, a village near Grange, which is a far cry from the car-dominated Grange, and for me, much preferable, but it should be listed as Lindale and not as Grange. It is not in itself a particularly beautiful part of the Lake District but it is a great place for a base.

Management Response

I'm very glad you liked the cottage and village. You are right this is not the centre of the Lakes but it has its own beauty with 360 degree views over Morecambe Bay and the Lakes, beautiful woods and wild flowers, - and quite a lot less rainfall!

“Wonderful”
Reviewed 29 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

My husband and I spent a lovely week in Rosebank Cottage. The cottage was lovely and had everything that you required. The cottage was set in a neat little row, just off the main road. There were two local pubs, one going uphill called the Royal Oak and the other being downhill called the Lindale Inn.
This was a lovely spot to visit all the tourist areas. We visited several pubs on our travels, one of the most memorable was at Ambleside where the pub was right on the water front and could sit in the gardens on lovely wooden chair swings.
Everyone we met were very friendly and helpful.

“Perfect little hidden gem”

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 3 nights at the end of November. The cottage is adorable, cosy and comfy. We especially enjoyed the log fire and the huge squashy bed! The village is cute with two pubs. We sampled both, naturally, and enjoyed the gastro style food at the Royal Oak and a quiet drink in the Lindale Inn. The village shop is well stocked and there is a Coop and a Spar in Grange which is about a mile away. Some lovely walks and views nearby. We travelled around the Lakes while we we're there and would recommend the South Lakes Animal Park which is about 15/20 minutes drive from Lindale. Really enjoyable day out (and free at the moment!) for all ages.
Thank you for a great weekend. We'll be back again!

“Between the Bay and the Lakes - best of both worlds”

A delightful cottage for two, cosy and well equipped. We enjoyed the comfy sofa, the wood burning stove; the 'upper garden'. Perfect location for a holiday in the south-eastern Lake District; Lake Windermere is 15 min drive. But walking in the area is also a must; up to Hampsfell and further towards Cartmel.

“Outstanding Cottage in the Lake District”
Reviewed 30 October 2013 for a stay in October 2013

This was my first time to the Lake District and in this respect I could not have picked a better place to stay - Rosebank Cottage was perfect. This small cottage located in the small village of Lindale is ideally located if you want to travel around the Lake District. The cottage is charming, comfortable and cosy, I fell in love with it the moment I walked in. It has all you need for a very comfortable and enjoyable stay in the area,

June, the owner, is great. Communication from the onset was easy and you do get value for money. All I can say is a big thank you.

Garrick

“exceptional cottage and surroundings”
Reviewed 6 October 2013 for a stay in October 2013

Cottage was very clean and well presented. Ideal for a break in the south lakes area. Situated in the small village of Lindale close to Grange over Sands. Very quite and pretty village. Good local pub serving great food. Cottage has modern well equipped kitchen, cosy lounge and comfortable ben and large bathroom/shower. Would recommend to friends and family. Very steep back garden need to be fit and able bodied to reach the sitting area.
