We ate here one evening as it was near to La suite di Segesta where we were staying. The staff spoke very little English but worked to understand our limited Italian. The food was well cooked and plentiful and we enjoyed our meal.

In a former railroad station, this restaurant serves very adequate food at low prices. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The portion of frites is enormous and the frites were perfectly done. I had the breast of chicken twice in two days. The service is not at the standard of an international hotel, but you're deep in the countryside here, and the service is adequate. There aren't many other choices. We went three times in three days. Obviously, many large groups of locals have their parties here. I would be happy to go again.

We had arrived at Segesta at lunch time and saw the sign for here. They only had a couple of groups. We enjoyed our food - not the best we would have in Sicily, but good. The service was spotty and we had to track down the waitress a couple of times - when we were ready to leave, what was apparently the entire staff or family was sitting down to eat their lunch - I had to go to the table to ask the waitress for our check. It was all OK. Not sure if there are other places around as we just grabbed this place first because we were in a rush.

We just dropped in for a quick coffee before visiting the stunning archaeological sites at Segesta. We had the best cappucinos in the whole of Sicily.
We discovered that lunch was served well into the afternoon, so we returned after our sightseeing and enjoyed marvellous home cooking at sensible prices. The station building is an architectural wonder in itself, but there appeared to be only 4 trains a day.
If youare driving along the Trapani - Palermo motorway, it is adjacent to the Segesta exit.

Me and my bf discovered this unique treasure during a long weekend in Sicily, and I must say we simply could not stay away!! Everything was just so tasty and the staff were so friendly, that we smply had to try as much of the menu as we could. The pasta was the best I ever tasted, and the Mushroom sauce that goes with the chicken (perfectly cooked) was just heavenly. There is a nice view of the countryside and railway which can be seen from the back of the restaurant. The place is also very very close to Segesta, the Roman Temple/Amphiteathre, so really a great location all year round. Pity that it is quite hidden and the signs to get there are not very clear. We discovered it coz we took a wrong turn going to the temple, but it was a fortunate wrong turn!

The restaurant is quite spacious and in fact staff organise other events in the evenings, like parties and discoes.

The price is very very worth it as well. The place is pretty relaxing and casual. For us it was romantic becuase we went for lunch and had dinner pretty early, so there were very few people and we had time to talk togather quietly, however I imagine it gets louder later on. It's a pity that we were there in winter, coz there was also summer seating in the front garden and place for BBQs and cocktails. However it was all packed up at that time of year.

Well done and keep it up! If we come to that part of Sicily again, we will definitely be back!!
