This is a nice hotel with friendly service and a great restaurant. There was secure parking for bicycles. Dinner at the restaurant was a particularly enjoyable experience. The hotel looks out over green fields and a little village which was nice to look at both from the room and restaurant. Unfortunately there was no air-conditioning - if there was this hotel would have rated higher.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the countryside (the back of the hotel).

Stayed here for one night en route to Alsace. Staff were welcoming and pleasant. Room overlooking countryside was quiet and comfortable. A hospitality tray was available on request. There was an in- house restaurant which we decided was a bit too formal for us so we preferred Cafe Louise which was adjacent to the hotel and run by the hotel. Good choice of menu.
Ample parking at front and rear of hotel. Libremont itself is relatively unexciting except for the nice modern church of striking appearance overlooking a pleasant green with cemetery, sports hall and nice bistro. (About a ten minute walk) Lots of shops in the area.

Room Tip: Requst a room at rear of hotel for rural outlook

Straight off the main road, but set back a bit so no noise problems and easy to get back on the highway in the morning. Very good brasserie just next to hotel , great beers and delicious food. Excellent breakfast at the hotel next morning with nice views over countryside from breakfast room.

Libramont is a good base to visit the Ardennes region of Belgium. And this hotel is a very good choice to use as a base. Clean room of a nice size. Very decent breakfast. But what sets this place aside is the quality of the service. We were greeted warmly and given our room key without even formally checking in (as our room was not quite ready when we arrived). Late in the evening, we asked for an extra bath towel and promptly got extra everything! We will return.

We were able to snare a great deal on the internet for this hotel. It was comparatively easy to find and the staff were helpful. The construction noted in another review was evident but we stayed on a Saturday night (and arrived in late afternoon), so we weren't inconvenienced. The internet worked very well. They had a lift so we didn't have to drag suitcases up and down stairs. Breakfast (which was included in our deal) was very good. Our only complaint was there wasn't much choice of restaurants in the area. We did finally find a grocery store within walking distance. Fairly close to Bastogne.

We really wanted to like this hotel. We stayed here on a trip where we visited Bastogne and Brussels, because Libramont is right on the train line. However, there were several incidents that kept us from really enjoying our stay.

First, there was a lot of construction going on when we arrived. This didn't bother us at all, but the front desk insisted that we move rooms when the workers put up sheeting outside our window on the second day of our stay. We explained that it didn't matter, as we left in the morning early and didn't get back until nightfall, and also that we already had everything unpacked, but they insisted. So we had to awkwardly pack all of our things with them waiting, and move rooms down to the first floor.

Our new room was ok, but had the smell of old cigarette smoke that we could have done without. That night, the people in the next room came in at 3 AM and woke us up by partying very loudly - music, drinking and toasting, shouting, uncontrollable laughing, etc. After about a half hour of this, it was apparent that the party wasn't winding down and so we tried to call the front desk. That's when we discovered the phone in this room didn't work. So my husband got dressed and walked down to the front desk to complain. The man followed us back up to our room and tried to get US to change rooms again, at 4 am. We refused, and told him they needed to get the "neighbors" under control, or move THEM. Later we found out they weren't even paying customers. They were friends of the folks that run the cafe next door.

The next night we had a few drinks in the bar, and when we went to pay, we were told they were free because of the previous night's trouble. While we appreciated the gesture, it just wasn't enough to make up for the other inconveniences.

The breakfast was good, as others have noted. The wifi worked well. The staff were reserved, but polite. The bar makes a delicious cappuccino and has a variety of local beers to choose from. Unfortunately, for us, there was more bad than good at this hotel. If we had to do it again, we would spend our money elsewhere.

Thank you for you message which I have received loud and clear.
I am really sorry to hear you had such a bad night.
It's true that a renovation period is never easy to manage and we are doing our outmost to make it the least disturbing for our clients.
We can only apologise for these bad neighborhood problems which our night Gard only managed to resolve after too long...It shouldn't happen in an establishment such as ours and we can only reiterate how sorry we are for this.
We would only be too happy to welcome you to the Best Western Hotel L'Amandier again and offer you graciously your first night sleep here.
Hoping to see you again here soon, I trust you will take this offer and present us with the opportunity to show you our best profile...
Kind regards,

We stayed at Best Western Hotel L'amandier after attending the Bastogne Rememberance Walk with our family and a group of friends. I was greated by name when we arrived tired and muddy from our 18 km hike through the battlegrounds of Bastogne. It was wonderful! They accomadated our friends motorcycles and put us all on the same floor without a blink of an eye. The rooms were clean, beds comfy and each room had a nice size bathroom. Breakfast was included and they make eggs to order. The service was great at breakfast as our large group was never short of coffee. We chose this hotel because of the location after not being able to get enough rooms together in Bastogne, The service was so great our group is considering staying here again instead of in Bastogne. Thanksto the staff for helping to make this a great weekend we will all treasure.
