It was a lovely guesthouse, lovely spa, sauna, steam room and zacussi. Lovely restaurant but a bit pricey. We had a room overlooking the lake on special offer. We had a veranda. Food was excellent, bottled water and tea and coffee making facilities in room. Spa was relaxing and a nice lounge. Great view of lough arrow. I'd go again.

Attended a wedding here in January. Hotel is in beautiful setting and the rooms are very nice. Great service for our stay and the food was excellent. The best vegetarian food I've ever had at a wedding. Based on this experience I'll be back this summer for a weekend.

This is our second visit to Cromleach Lodge and again it didn't disappoint in any way. Room 110 is a lovely spacious room & has fabulous views overlooking Lough Arrow amidst absolute peace & quiet. We were greeted by Christy, one of the owners, who took us to our table, which was a nice touch. Dinner was a wonderful experience, with excellent service & delicious food. Appetizers consisted of celeriac & apple soup & choice of homemade breads served with sundried tomato & an olive tapenade, followed by scallop & trout dishes and a main course of mouth watering rump of lamb accompanying perfectly cooked red cabbage, mange tout & creamy potatoes. There was a lovely atmosphere in the dining room. Breakfast was an excellent spread, although it would have been nice to have had an egg cook on duty, as buffet-style scrambled eggs aren't nice after sitting around for a while. We only had to ask for freshly made strong coffee & it was very good. Moira, the owner, talked to lots of the guests, which was a nice touch. The cost of this very enjoyable one night stay was very reasonable and we shall be back.

Room Tip: A room with a lough view & not too far from reception, restaurant areas

We had a wonderful meal in Cromleach Lodge on Easter Saturday evening. The hotel is set in beautiful countryside with fabulous views over the lake. The building itself doesn't look particularly special on approach, but what awaits inside is a real treat. The dining room is comfortable and would appeal to all ages and expectations in that it isn't trendy or fancy...just comfortable which I would imagine puts a lot of people immediately at ease. This restaurant seems to appeal to all ages and on the night we were there there were diners from under a year to elderly couples, family groups, young couples.

We were warmly greeted by a young man and shown to our table. Our waitress was a lovely local girl who can only be described as a breath of fresh air...she was charming, down to earth and excellent at her job. There was a notice on the table that the restaurant provided their own mineral water in reusable bottles either still or sparkling, as much as you wanted for €1.50 per person. Great idea, Eco friendly, wallet friendly and great tasting water...a win win. The menu was good and covered all tastes - wine list was comprehensive and good value. delighted to see a good choice of 1/2 bottles, given that the hotel is a drive alway from anywhere it meant that one of us could enjoy a nice choice of wine while the other drove.

An amuse bouche of Curried Cauliflower soup arrived, subtle flavour of curry, nice consistency and a sign of good things to come. Homemade breads were served along with a sun dried tomato and an olive tapenade....really delicious, we tried not to, but ended up eating all the bread it was so good! Starters for both of us - Fresh Donegal Sea Trout - delicious...really delicious. Main courses Wild Atlantic Salmon for me and a chicken and polenta dish for him .....both really good. Accompanying vegetables, amazing.....who knew cabbage could taste so good, and as for the mange tout and the sinfully creamy potatoes. Whoever is cooking in the kitchen at Cromleach certainly knows what they are doing....this is one of the best meals I have eaten anywhere.

As the rest of the meal was so good we just had to try the deserts.....Creme brûlée tart...and a lemon tart....both fantastic. We ended our meal with coffee and petit fours. Throughout, our waitress was attentive and friendly. The owner or manager came over to speak to most tables during the evening which was a lovely touch. This restaurant is a real gem, its a totally Irish experience from food to friendliness of staff, quality of ingredients and commitment to local quality. This message was reinforced when I went to the ladies and immediately could smell the fabulous aroma of Voya seaweed products from the nearby village of Strandhill.

I would highly recommend the restaurant at Cromleach Lodge and I would love to return there again in the near future.

My boyfriend and I stayed here over Easter for 3 nights, we had initially only planned to stay for 2 and then move on somewhere else for the third night, but we so enjoyed our stay that we booked to stay on. We stayed in a standard room for the first two nights, the room was beautiful and had everything you could ask for, except a view, but we knew that before we arrived so were not disappointed. We ate in the restaurant on the first evening and the food was all delicious as were the breakfasts (love Moira's scones and mini treacle loaves) As we are getting married in 10 weeks and therefore watching the waistlines we could not do 3 nights in the restaurant as it is fine dining at its best. The surroundings of the hotel are beautiful and the views gorgeous. Both the owners are very attentive and have the customers interests at heart. We stayed in a beautiful room with a view on our final night and when we return, which we plan to do, it is worth it for the views. I hope in time they finish the incomplete block and roads as it would make it truly amazing. Many thanks to both Christy and Moira for making out stay most enjoyable and we cannot wait to return.

Booked at short notice for Easter Weekend, the location is lovely over looking Lough Arrow, the standard rooms are a good size, with comfy beds. The evening meal was define. My daughter described the desserts as heaven on a plate. The staff were very friendly and attentive, with a sense of humor. The breakfasts were very good with great selection of breads, sweetbreads, and of the Irish Cooked Breakfast. So if you want a relaxing stay in the country and want to feel spoilt, give them visit.

Cromleach Lodge is very good for food. The menu is wide and varied and Sunday lunch is very reasonable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location can be difficult to find, but it is well sign posted. Well worth a visit.
