Gentle staff, beautiful and top-comfort room, perfect cleanliness. View from the hotel is outstanding. Tasty breakfast and delicious dinner at the hotel restaurant. We really liked their sweet red wine.

Room Tip: Our standard room was well above standards!

We had a fantastic meal in this scenic and charismatic hotel accompanied by some of the wine grown on the estate, which was superb. The hotel is surrounded by a vineyard from which they make a delicious but quite strong red, not far off a fortified wine. Well worth trying, it's extremely tasty and complemented the fantastic food on offer. Watching the sun set from the outdoor terrace, surrounded by vineyards and a breathtaking view over the valley was serene.

The owner is extremely friendly and helpful, accommodating a couple of unusual requests from us and helping us out far more than you'd normally expect. I can't praise Estate Kalaitzis enough and wish we'd been able to spend more time here. I also wish we'd been able to take a couple of bottles of the local wine home with us, but we're driving to India so it's not really feasible unfortunately!

While traveling to see the Tombs at Vergina, we stayed for two nights at a spectacular Hotel at the top of a hill, surrounded by vineyards, luscious greenery and magnificent views. Ktima Kalaitzis was luxurious, and although it appeared it had been there for a century it was actually newly built and modern in all its amenities. The rooms were spacious and beautifully designed and decorated. The large outdoor patio presented more spectacular views. The breakfasts were delicious and bountiful and the dinners were amazing elegant presentations and incredibly scrumptious. Ktima Kalaitzis offers great value for the quality of service and the beauty of the Estate and Views. The young owners were most charming and gracious. I highly recommend!

My husband and I went to Greece for a wedding. After spending a few days in Athens we drove up north to thessaloniki. The wedding was at the beautiful Estate Kalaitzis. sitting in the middle of a vineyard with breathtaking views of the valley below. It was one of the most memorable experiences and I would highly recommend anyone traveling to Greece to stay at Estate Kalaitzis. You will not regret it.

I stayed there at the end of May, 2013. And this has been one of my best places in Greece ever. It was incredible that I could stay there with such a good price. Located on a hill of Vergina, it gave me a stunning view. I had a diner and breakfast there. Owesome! One of the best cook in Greece! It is definitely worth to stay this estate even if you just pass through Vergina's historic landmarks

We liked the following features: The location of the hotel on top of a hill in the middle of an estate overlooking vineyards; The architecture of the building and the internal design of the public areas and of the room; The comfort: the spacious room, the bed , the bathroom, also equipped with a Jacuzzi and the providing with bathrobes; The excellent breakfast, for 5E per person; The offer of a reasonably priced dinner at the hotel itself; The attitude of the manager, including the help with carrying the suitcases to the first floor upon arrival. All these excellent features render this hotel as exceptional, the “crown” of the 6 hotels we visited during our stay in Greece. We didn't like the following: The information on how to access the hotel was not sufficient and we had to ask our way to find it (even though we were equipped with a GPS). The road to the hotel is in bad shape, in particular the last part leading to the hotel; The telephone in the room did not function; There is no elevator in the hotel and we had to carry our suitcases down by ourselves when leaving the hotel..

Room Tip: All first floor rooms are excellent

My husband and I stayed here over the Easter weekend. The owners and the staff made us very welcome and explained about the Greek traditions of Easter.
The hotel is beautiful and immaculate, it is set in a lovely location and has much to offer in terms of walking and or relaxing.
The staff and the owners will advise you of the many things you can see or do locally. Had I known that this Estate existed I would have insisted my daughter have her wedding here. It is perfect for weddings as well as a relaxing visit.

Room Tip: All the rooms are nice here
