“Get there before the afternoon rain”
Reviewed 15 August 2014 via mobile

We rented motorbikes and stopped here for a hour on our way to chocolate hills. The tarsiers are very cute, and the staff ensure guests don't disturb them. Got to see 5 or 6 of them before the rain started. During the rain though, they tend to disappear. Only 60pesos, or 50p for students and children. An inexpensive place to visit.

“A much more interesting site than Chocolate Hills.”
Reviewed 14 August 2014

If you happen to be in Bohol, you most probably have heard and are going to visit Chocolate Hills. Well, feel free to read my review about it, or let me just mention that it's basically nothing special. The Tarsier Conservation Area, on the other hand, is something truly unique and well worth a visit.

The guides will show you where the tarsiers sit. They are completely wild, so no monkey business. Anyway, the guide won't let you do anything stupid. Just watch and take pictures. Come in the afternoon to avoid crowds.

“Very nice, but too touristy”
Reviewed 8 August 2014

Its nice, very nice. With the tarsiers being threatened all over the country, a nice place like this is good for them. You can get very close in their natural habitat. Funny little things. However, like most things in Bohol:
- Dont count on spending too much time there. You see about 5 tarsiers and thats it
- Very touristy. Be either asian or have a vendor-fetish. For every tarsier you see, count on about 300 kiosks with the usual tourist rubbish (keychains, t-shirts etc)

“Interesting...”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

My daughter was so into these things, we had to go there! They are definitely cute, but very small and not that active. If you like these little creates, it's probably worth a visit since there are very few places in the world to see them.
