“Plough scores again.”
Reviewed 29 July 2011

We have been to the Plough, for lunch, about 6 times in the last two years - as a prelude to visiting Hidcote Gardens.
It has never disappointed. The food has been in the excellent category every time - the steaks ( July 2010) were THE memorable meal of that year - better class than any in 20 other establishments. Top marks to Jean Pierre. Bon chance mon amis.
We have always been welcome - even when there is a crowd of lcoals round ( good beer stocked) bar. A real pub that serves excellent food - up and down the menu.

“A fantastic little pub - fab food!”
Reviewed 23 July 2011

The Plough in Stretton on Fosse comes highly recommended. The french Chef makes fantastic food and the staff are super friendly. Our little boy Harrison loves going to the Plough. The locals are very nice and it's not the kind of pub you feel uncomfortable in! It is worth visiting for a bite to eat and even lunchtimes are busy with people coming a distance to eat there :0) They have the most beautiful hanging baskets outside and a stack of books and games to play. Whether you visit as a family or not it is worth the journey.

“Fantastic food and fantastic character”
Reviewed 16 January 2011

Went here for Sunday lunch, and really didn't know what to expect. Some village pubs can be a bit "local's only" but luckily this is not the case at all with the Plough Inn.

We were greeted with a warm welcome, and a roaring open fireplace with the roast pork cooking over it, which smelt lovely

A nice choice of real ales of tap, and the wines were also nice, if a touch pricey.

The food came out very quickly, and they were a great size portion. Plenty of meat and a wide wide range of veg. The plates were hot, and it was all cooked beautifully.

Overall a very nice pub, with great food and a lovely atmosphere.

We will be going back very soon!

“Eat, drink and be merry! Love it!”
Reviewed 11 November 2010

What can I say.... quality through and through.

This is such a cosy little pub in the heart of Stretton on Fosse.

Excellent food and drink with great service. Food is simple, home-made and the best quality, well worth the visit. A traditional 17th century village inn, with a large open inglenook fireplace. There is seating outside seating and a play area nearby.

There is an extensive wine list and real ales, two of which are guest ales which im told are changed regularly (im not into my traditional ales!)
