Fair priced for room ,clean and tidy , free use of fan in hot weather which really helped .had a decent size tv for room, plenty of tea and coffee ,had a fair size stain on carpet and some marks on wall which are the negatives but overall ok and would stay again , breakfast is available at a cost if required but didn't have any

I was working on a contract in Wolverhampton and rather dreading the drive from Nottingham everyday. Solution, stay locally. A person at work suggested the Robin to me and I arranged to stay there during the working week and travel home at weekends. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff more than willing to go the extra mile. The breakfasts are fantastic. The commute to work was simply to hop onto a tram and 10 minutes later I was in Wolverhampton.

An added bonus is that there is a live music venue attached. My stay at the Robin lasted some four months in which time I saw some fantastic bands. For an evening meal I would recommend the White Rose excellent food and friendl.

All in all a very friendly hotel with excellent service.

Room Tip: Ask for Mike.

Stayed here overnight whilst attending a gig at the venue next door. Room was slightly small but spotless though shower could have been stronger. Check in was efficient and a nice bonus was the free, ample car park behind the hotel which I left the car in as I arrived there early due to bank holiday traffic and sunny weather.
The cooked breakfast was basic but reasonable and prepared while you wait, served by a very friendly lady for which I have awarded an extra point though she did seem a tad overworked. You could help yourself to cereals, tea/coffee and juices as much as you wanted.
It was a nice feeling to leave the gig and go straight up to my room without any hassle and I would stay here again without any hesitation.

I've stayed at the Robin about six times as its really convenient after seeing a gig. The rooms are always comfortable and clean and the breakfast is superb. The hotel offers very good value for money. The only criticism is that parts of the hotel need a lick up of paint to prevent this hotel become shabby. All the staff are pleasant and friendly, however, the breakfast cook needs to be mentioned personally for her customer service. We were in a room on the rear ground floor and the noise of the bottle bins from 6.30am on a Sunday morning was a little annoying too.

Used this hotel twice now. It is pretty basic, but personally I'm not looking for anything flashy after a gig. It has been clean and functional on both occasions. The staff are very friendly and the eatery upstairs lays on a cool breakfast, from very pleasant staff.
