I didn't actually stay at the Four Seasons - my wife and I stopped by to have a drink one afternoon, mostly because I was curious to see the place after hearing my boss rave about it. In short, the place was exceptionally well maintained with beautifully manicured lawns all over the grounds, a pristine white sandy private beach and amazing pool area. Apparently we did not have the appearance of belonging there, as we were approached separately by 3 staff members asking what we were doing as we walked around. As exceptional as the place was, I did have the feeling that it was over the top. To keep up this pristine appearance, they must have a staff-to-guest ratio of about 20:1 and in fact we only encountered a couple people who appeared to be guests throughout the vast grounds. We were staying at what seemed like an amazing resort at less than half the price, which was a beautiful property within a natural tropical setting. The Four Seasons was so meticulously gardened that aside from the beach and decor, there was almost no feeling of anything tropical. Needless to say, we did not see any wild monkeys on the grounds, as we saw at our hotel.

My boyfriend and I just got back from 2 nights stay at Four Seasons. We booked the upper melaleuca pavilion. From the moment we checked in to the last second we were there, the service was top notch exceptional and the staff are genuninely sincere. The moment I got out of the taxi upon arrival, they already knew my name. No kidding. When we left, the staff knew our names and handed us fresh cold towels to freshen ourselves before we got into the taxi for the airport. This resort is expensive. You really pay for the service. For the amount I paid for the room, I have no regrets. There are two pools, the Adult Quiet Pool and the Family Pool. We had requested for our room to be near the Adult Quiet Pool and they had given us a room facing it which was terrific. The family pool was pretty good too but for couples who want a little quiet time, opt for the Quiet Pool who has it's own individual private cabanas. To get to areas when we were too lazy to walk, just call reception for a buggy to pick you up, they'll be there within 10 mins max. Dinner at the restaurants were good but not fantastic and very expensive with small portions except their complimentry dinner breads which we loved. They were warm, crusty fresh-out-of-the-oven breads baked to perfection. We ordered lunch both days at the pool, the staff just bought our lunch to us to have on our sun loungers and they were much bigger portions and delicious! The views from anywhere in the resort was awesome, especially from the Rhu Bar at sunset! Breakfast was pretty good with a variety of choices. Our room was fantastic, spotlessly clean, huge, spacious and the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on. One negative thing I've got to say is that WIFI is free of charge for only ONE device per room, meaning free for only one person. Overall, I would definitely recommend this resort and they truly do such a wonderful job in making every one of their guests comfortable and happy. One last thing, without even requesting, the front desk must have looked at our flight schedule and noted our flight was at 8:45pm and the day before when we got back to our room, we found a note staying we could check out at 6:45pm at no extra charge and they will have a taxi for us at 6:45 to bring us to the airport! We could not ask for more, forget about buying a Prada, book a stay at Four Seasons here and you won't regret it :)

We cheated, we didn't stay at the hotel but we wanted to watch the sunset from a nearby beach but we were early so decided to go into the Four Seasons for a drink. Well, we were totally blown away by the style of this hotel, we felt like we entered some moroccan oasis, it is beautifully decorated and oh so private and quiet. We found our way to the lounge and found a swing seat facing west, ordered a couple of drinks and awaited the sunset - we weren't going to go anywhere else until it got dark. As we were leaving we were offered a bottle of water even though we weren't guests, that's what I call looking after guests.

Spend the 2nd leg of my honeymoon at this resort through a number of reccomendations for 4 nights. This is regarded by locals as the best resort in Langkawi and although I havent stayed in any other resorts in Langkawi, I understand why.
Positives - staff and and service, Beautiful resort, the Rhu bar, breakfast, spa area, buggy service and the quality of the bed. It only takes a few minutes to drift to sleep as soon as you lie down, my wife and I always refer to the quality of the sleep regardless of the time of day.

My flght back was late evening and they allowed us a late check out time without charge and after discussing this with the manager as they didnt want to ruin a perfect honeymoon experience with something like that. The staff and service is what makes the hotel.

Only downside I have is having to pay for Wi fi connection considering how much your paying for the resort though its worth noting that they do have a business centre with free internet.

WIll happy to stay here again.

Room Tip: Hire a car for traveeling as as using a taxi service has its restrictions and can be costly.

We have just returned from a fabulous stay at the Four Season Langkawi. This is our first visit to Langkawi and our second Four Seasons Property- visited Seychelles resort last year.
Our overall experience was fantastic, the weather in Langkawi was great during our 7 nights stay at the end of July. The services throughout the hotel was excellent. Good food, facilities(gym & spa), buggy service, pools, bars, etc…

Summary:

Arrival - arranged an airport transfer through the hotel. Driver was waiting at the airport and trip took approximately 20 min. Highly recommended, you can start to enjoy your trip upon arrival at the airport.

Check- in - received a welcome drink and completed the check-in in no time. We were fortunate to receive an upgraded to a Upper Pavilion with partial sea views(1602).

Room - the upper pavilions are well appointed with own spa bath at the back of the room. The views from the balcony were magnificent. The location within the resort was excellent for us given we are a couple in the early 30's with no children. Our room was right across the adults pool, which has private cabanas with spectacular views.

Food - the resort has a total of 3 restaurants. B/fast is served in Serai with garden & sea views. The food selection is one of the largest we have seen. B/fast options are a la carte & buffet
The breakfast buffet has a great selection: fruits, bakery, low fat "healthy corner", cheeses, cereals, eggs cooked to order, pancakes cooked to order, Asian hot food(curries, rice, noodles, dumplings, Japanese food, etc…)
Lunch is served in the restaurant by the family pool or in the pool areas. Menu offers a variety of Asian & European food, with lots of fish & seafood available.
Dinner is served at 3 restaurants(Italian, Malaysian & European/fusion). All venues offer good quality food. We enjoyed so much the food, the Chef even provided us with a written recipe of one of our favourite dishes.
Room service also has a good menu and they were very accommodating as we requested variations of dishes on the menu and also dishes not listed on the menu. Once again, the chef was very kind to prepare the dishes as per our request. Thank you!
The Rhu bar was great for cocktails & to enjoy the sunset. During our stay we were invited to a "meet & great" at the bar with complementary drinks and food.
Service- the staff was helpful & friendly at all times, service at the restaurants/bars is very efficient. We found the staff to be very knowledgeable.

Spa & Gym - we enjoy the spa which has multiple private rooms with floor to ceiling glass surrounded by the forest, very relaxing. The gym is of good size and has brand new equipment, plenty of cardio machines to choose from. The resort also has bikes available to get around at your own leisure, they can be picked- up from the gym and kept in your room for the length of your stay.

Pools & Beach - adults pool(18+) is very quiet and offers magnificent views, it has private cabanas(about 8) where you can relax while the bar staff takes care of drinks & food for you.
Family pool - is a little busier than the adults pool, perfect for families with young kids. Close to the beach.
The resort has 1.5km of white sand beach. It isn't the best beach we have seen(after the Seychelles & Maldives our standards are very high); however is clean and the water was lovely.

Other Notes- the beach villas look amazing, they have direct access to the beach- great for families.
Enjoyed the cooking class with 3 course lunch, lots of fun! Food & drinks are reasonably priced and the quality is very good.
Overall we were very impressed with the Four Seasons Langkawi- looking forward to our next visit!
