Simply put, we stayed at Santiburri in Koh Samui, then Westin in Langakawi and finally two nights in the Four Seasons. Frankly, the four seasons was the best out of all three. The beach was amazing, the adult swimming pool was awesome. Jogging around during the day was fantastic, the gym was very good, the free bicycle rentals was very helpful. It was expensive (we stayed in the Lower Pavillion).

One comment regarding lower pavillion, it really felt it was our own villa, even though someone was ontop of us, very private, and our own complaint is that the outdoor jacuzzi was obviously not used in a while, and noone checked or cleaned it out in a while.

Recommended.

The Four Seasons in Langkawi is definately a worth place to stay when you want that intimate private honeymoon or a short breakaway. It is located up North of the island and very, very distance away from everything.. If you are a kind of person who only wants to enjoy your stay in the hotel without going out anywhere, then this resort is definaitely it. it takes almost 1 hour plus just to get to Chenang Beach, where the hip & happening bars & restaurants are and another 1/2 hour to get to the Kuah town. On the other note, one needs to rent a car to go out & about!

Back to the resort, the check-in was a pleasant..we were escorted to another private area & offered a welcome drink and after all that, a buggy came and picked us up & took us to the beach villa! And OMG!! the villa was so awesome, direct access to the beach, the bathroom is huge & so lovely (please do have a look on the photos attached), the bed is so heaven..you just cant fault on anything!

The food at the restaurant is a must try..love the pizza! which made freshly baked from the traditional oven located at the side of the restaurant. The pools are just gorgeous! They will send complimentary juice and towels for you. The beach is to die for!..white sandy beach..had a nice stroll in the evening and watching the sunset was one of the best experience we had here.

Service & the staff are just top notch..they will called you by your name & greeted you whenever they sees you.

Overall, i would say the price is damn pricey but the experience is well-worth it! =)

This is my first contribution to tripadvisor. I usually do not comment much on writing but not for this case.
Four Seasons had always given me a positive impression on how they advocate their care and concern on the nature and environment.
My recent stay with the resort was shocking! They were promoting and selling handbags made out of pythons and cobras.Even then these products were not locally made. Instead of supporting the local products, the resort was supporting foreign products that involved wildlife. It is unbelievable how Four Seasons claimed themselves to support sustainability on natural resources and at the same time they were encouraging wildlife trade.

Apart from that, their services were great and all staff were exceptionally friendly. My holiday was great and this experience had given me a second thought on four seasons' values. Langkawi has fantastic wildlife and it is a shame to know that snakes bags were being sold by such exclusive resort.

The Four Seasons known for its chain of amazing vacation villas has never failed to impress. What you see on their web (with the edited pictures & stuff) is the real thing. When you get there, you will know what I mean. Secluded, relaxing, attentive staff - everyone should go to any of the Four Seasons here in south east asia at least once for an experience of a lifetime. Expect to pay abit more though.

We stayed one night at this resort. Its beautiful. The architechure is a mix of north african and other exotic cultures. The setting is a rain forest environment. The gardens are expansive and amazing. The only problem is the cost. A room only cost us USD 600 a night. This excluded meals or any other service. Breakfast was charged separately at about usd 55 per person and dinner at more that USD 100 per person. You get the feeling that you will be charged for even just breathing the air. There is no free drinking water anywhere. The band that played at dinner time only did so for a very short time and left diners still eating. For USD 600 one would have expected so much more. You get the feeling that you are being ripped off!!!
