To start off - the location and view is magnificent. The food is just ok. Wanna-be gourmet but quite not there in the top league or to justify these prices. Would be better to be more down to earth in this region. The service wrecked it though, careless. Stiff. Just act normal! Losen up! Don't need to be or act like wanna-be ritz carlton ...!

Celebrated my wife birthday’s in this restaurant which turned out to be a good choice. The restaurant is tastefully designed with full glass enclosure which provides a nice panoramic view of the vineyard and the cities. My wife had ala carte while I had the 6 course menu. Food was good while the amuse bouche was exceptional. A particularly good dish was the pork belly with lobster. It was delicious. Wine selection is wide and prices while not cheap are decent. We stayed in the new hotel which was completed 2-3 years ago. The room was spacious and modern. My wife was rather surprised to find a hotel with such modern design in the area. This would be recommended as we can relax after a heavy meal of good food and wine. Service was attentive. Overall, a nice and romantic dinner. I think the 1 Michelin star is well deserved.

Everything about our evening here was wonderful. Although we had to wait a few minutes to be greeted (likely because it was later in the evening), once we were, the staff were professional and polite (not overly friendly). The aperitifs were a perfect start to the meal, and we chose to get the fixed menu. I am not a "foodie", but this evening really made my experience in Germany. We had veal pappardelle, a soup course (they allowed my partner to substitute), and a delicious but not overwhelmingly flavorful dessert (i.e., the right balance). The main course was a perfect size for me (and my partner's heartier appetite)! It was refreshing from a gourmet restaurant to feel satisfied. The foam on the pappardelle was to die for, and the pasta was heaven on earth. Then again, I was pretty happy with my date so I wasn't being too picky. But he is, and he liked it, too!

Our table was perfect, bathrooms were clean and private, and there was plenty of parking. It was changing seasons, so it was a bit cool, but they had heaters to warm us.

Our waiter did not go above and beyond to make our visit exceptional (perhaps because we were the youngest party there), but he was professional with the right balance of attentiveness for our occasion.

Overall, it was a very romantic experience, we were happy with the fixed menu, and the view cannot be beat. I literally could reach out and touch vines if I wanted. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

(Note, the American who loves chain restaurants will not be happy here, also I rated price but I'm really not sure as I didn't see the bill). For some reason I think they have a menu in English but I didn't use it?

I recommend going at sunset!
