we went there as a group and had a great time, I have read some bad reviews but we couldn't fault it, we were treated well and the food they dished up was great, probably too much for some people, the staff were friendly and very helpful we were quite happy with it all.

Room Tip: I would chose the south side, much nicer

This hotel is fine rooms clean and everything you need. Large free parking area.
Didn't eat a meal here. But the breakfast was very nice and the ladies serving you had a very nice and friendly manner. So all in all a good hotel

The place is OK, not the cleanest but not too bad either. The worst bit about this hotel is one particular lady in the restaurant - awful welcome, rude and arrogant, it almost feel as she is doing you a favour - even though YOU are paying for your breakfast. If you don't have to eat there, don't eat there!

Stayed for one night. Clean hotel. I arrived quite late so met friends and went straight to room. Walls are paper thin & could hear everything that was said in the next room. Didn't eat or buy drinks so cant comment on those. But overall nice spacious rooms.

Stayed here for one night .......arrived to a reception with no-one on it had to wait a few mins for service, which was done quickly and efficiently.Went to room and decided to go to the bar for a quick drink b4 getting ready to go out to xmas party in the area,no-one on bar had to ring for service, more of our party arived and they had to ring too, went to room to get ready and as we were in the eaves of the hotel the shower was a little difficult to manovere in as the roof was protruding where the shower head was ,its ok if your under 5ft 5 but as i'm 6ft was a little tricky and i had to wash my hair with my head tilted to one side to stop myself hitting my head on wall which made all the water go over the floor as the shower curtain was touching my head thats the only fault with room.Had breakfast next morning which was ok but the bacon was exremley salty and i couldn't cut my fried bread so left them both.Checkout was quick and easy and had a polite lady on there.

Friendly staff on the reception. Bed quite small, just a standard double, and it was extremely hard. The bathroom was a bit of a squeeze! Knees touching the HOT towel rail while on the loo! Water was nice and hot in the morning though. Breakfast just short of ten quid! and it was 'ok' - nothing to write home about - thought it was a bit pricey for what it was.

Stayed here whilst working in wickford, Staff were polite and helpful. The rooms surround a yard and garden area so if you want a breath of fresh air its outside your room door. Bathroom had a bath & shower and water was piping hot and the shower quite powerful. Breakfast was a little dissapointing and not the cheapest however evening meals were much better the staff were great and an altogether better experience than breakfast

Overall a good hotel for folks like myself on a tight budget
