This hotel is really very nice: location beautiful in a small town in Warmia, between two rivers , building very charming and historically rich , rooms modern and comfortable, staff professional, helpful and welcoming, food plentiful and very tasty, the castle very unique and interesting.
If you are planning yo visit Warmia and Mazury, this hotel is highly recommended.

It's a brilliant example of successful restoration of the original medieval castle. The hotel inside is modern yet from the outside you really feel more like a knight rather than a tourist. Situated on the small Island between two rivers this place is really special. You're in the same castle where Copernicus discovered his heliocentric theory and wrote " De revolutionibus orbium coelestium" (no kidding!).

The hotel has a good pool with jacuzzi. Make sure you take the tour of the hotel to learn more about its history. On the top of one of the towers there is really cute library and there's a good view from another one (only guided tours).

Restaurant on the other hand is not living up to the hotel's standard. I don't want to say it's bad, but it's simply nothing special.

Amazing SPA place for weekend trip. If you are looking for a place for a short relax, I recommend.

Rooms - amazing interior, clean ... but would be good to have some more cosmetics in the bathroom (body lotion, shampoo) not only 3 shower caps for 2 people fro 2 nights.

Restaurant - delicious dinners, some local food also in menu.

Breakfast - big choice of small dishes, fresh made pancakes, omelettes and scrambled eggs !!

Cafeteria .... welll ... for a place like 4 star hotel, showing a card with ready made drinks IS A SHAME !!! They more match cheap fish place in Mielno than 4 start hotel. DON'T BE LAZY, mix drinks by yourself.

And one more note .... as there was "Women's Day" during our time there .... MANAGE YOUR GUESTS (especially drunk women who party till 3 in the morning) and separate them from regular guests !!!

Just came back from this hotel. Our stay was just exelent, perfect and we couldn't ask for more. The hotel is magnificent, spa sooo relaxing and restarant so delicious. The major cook is everywhere. Helps wait staff, takes care of guaest, listens to guest sugestions. Great job I have to say. So, besides all the hotel ammntities the employees are fantastic. They do take care of customers, smile all the time and help a lot. In my opinion great place with a history, fantastic food and great atmosphere.

Room Tip: They have 2 tipes of room. Very dark or in gray and white colr shades.

Together with my wife, we spent there two nights. It was leisure trip, we use some of the spa treatments offered at Hotel Krasicki. We enjoyed our stay, really pleasant and helpful staff, and tasty food, a bit salty for me though, but maybe it is a style of a food they serve in this part of Poland.
We liked the idea of distributing Krasicki's poems every day before evening time, something like that never happened to me before, it was cool :)
Don't know why, but when reserving a room we asked for one, queen size bed. They put together two twin size beds next to each other, and you could see that on of the beds was recently moved, by the signs on the carpet 0,0 Strange, we didn't bother about it, simply tried to enjoy our time.
Our room, was equipped with a little fridge, full of food drinks etc, only by accident we realized that we will have to pay an extra money for using these things... If something were not included in a room price, why would you even put this food to the fridge? Trying to make extra money on that? Or actually making money on guests who don't know that they will have to eventually pay for that.
Coffee/tea set in our room was so dusty, we didn't even bother to use it, plus the kettle had lime scale on it :/
I was missing a free drinks during dinner time, if I pay for all inclusive stay, I don't expect to pay extra for a cup of coffee after my dinner ;)

Room Tip: Since not too many towels provided. They are unable to dry off after evening's shower, and befor...

It is a perfect adaptation of the old castle for the contemporary, modern hotel. Some architectural ideas are amazing and giving the best note for this ambition project. For me absolutely spectacular is library, with pretty nice collection of books, successfully arranged in one of the towers. River cruise by motorboat and astronomy show, there are other unique elements in the rich offer for the hotel`s guests. From the other side, the swimming pool with it`s facilities seems to be below expectation. The standard double room, we have occupied, was rather small, with narrow and too hard beds. The bathrooms was nice and very elegant. The hotel restaurant, located in the cellar, offers average food, both for dinner and for breakfast. The staff works professionally, but sometimes they are too serious, even severe. Anyway, it is the place worth visiting, mainly because of great architecture and astonishing attractions.

Room Tip: the rooms in the Gothic Wing are too dark.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
The Krasicki Hotel**** lies in the heart of Lidzbark Warmiński, a town known for ages as the Pearl of Warmia. This idyllically-located hotel lies where the Lyna and Symsarna Rivers fork, marks the historical outer ward of the seat of the Warmian Bishops - and is a most precious tangible testimony to the history of Warmia and Masuria. The style of the elegant rooms and apartments of the Gothic and Baroque section of the Hotel refer to the original aesthetics of the building's construction. Their names recall the eminent guests of Lidzbark Castle: King Leszczyński, Sigismund III Vasa, John Sigismund of Hohenzollern, Tsar Paul I... Here these historical figures gave in to the pleasures of the body and soul, admired nature, watched the sky of Warmia, drank exquisite wine, listened to concerts, discussed, read... And this is what our guests too may do today. They have at their disposal 125 rooms providing altogether accommodation for 250 visitors. The BIBLIOTEKA Cafe and ASTRONOMICAL OBSERVATORY are unique offers. The BIBLIOTEKA Cafe's impressive book collection welcomes readers of carefully-chosen literature of the world. A book with a cup of coffee or, favoured by "the Prince of poets", hot chocolate, undoubtedly tastes exceptional in such surroundings. The astronomical observatory, open-to-visitors, which is located in the clock tower, pays tribute to the author of heliocentric theory once residing in the Castle, the eminent astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus. The tower OBSERVATION DECK also allows one to fully take pleasure in the beautiful scenery of Lidzbark Warmiński and its surroundings. Famous for her outstanding beauty, Saint Catherine left in her old books recipes for preserving looks and vitality. The SPA&WELLNESS centre, located on the ground floor, gives our guests a chance to surrender to relaxing rituals, recover, and find a harmony of the body and soul. The lovers of baths can opt for a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, or gym, while enthusiasts of high temperatures can visit a sauna complex. Inspired by regional customs and always based on top quality ingredients, our cuisine combines traditional methods with advanced culinary techniques. It mirrors the character of the locality, but also draws on all parts of the world. Dressed with seasonal vegetables and fruit, it offers a pleasantly memorable experience to our guests within the interiors of the elegant RESTAURANT, CLUB HALL WITH WINE BAR and LOBBY BAR. The WOODEN BRIDGE of the Hotel over the castle moat is an inherent part of the extraordinary history; while the castle marina offers GONDOLA RIDES along the picturesque and beautifully located Lyna River. For those who like to combine rest with work, the KRASICKI Hotel has prepared a wide range of conference services (7 air-conditioned rooms with equipment and technical services). It is here, in the castle, where several great leaders and diplomats from Poland and Europe have met: Jan Dantyszek, Stanisław Hozjusz, Marcin Kromer, John Albert Vasa, Charles XII of Sweden, and Napoleon Bonaparte. In the KRASICKI Hotel tradition meets the present, as such was the nature of its host - Krasicki, an outstanding man of the Enlightenment, a poet, prose writer and essayist. With his interests and excellent style he has moved not only specialists in Polish studies but also journalists, politicians, clergy, teachers, economists, art admirers and representatives of many other professions. The KRASICKI Hotel is the heart of life and hospitality. The cultural and historical enclave is honoured to welcome you today. The rich history of Warmia, its monuments and nature, the magic of Lidzbark Warmiński with its surroundings, the gondola rides on the Lyna River or a walk down the Symsarna River valley all contribute to the charm of this outstanding residence, filling the moments spent at the KRASICKI Hotel with positive emotions. ... more   less
