This is an impressive hotel whether viewed from a steamer on Lake Brienz, a car running along the shore edge or on foot.
It has an elegance and quality which sets it aside and is run so efficiently by its family owners.
Meal times are a real celebration of good food, well served by pleasant staff.
Accommodation is enriched with extensive views across the beautiful lake and surrounding countryside.
One visit and we were hooked!

Have stayed at Seiler au Lac with my wife every year for the last 15 years. Maybe that says it all!
The setting on the shore of Lake Brienz and the views down the lake and of the surrounding mountains are unsurpassed within the region. The Zingg Dinkel family and their loyal staff live up to their motto that 'You arrive as a guest but leave as a friend' by offering consistently attentive and helpful service, spotlessly maintained accommodation, an excellent and varied menu with ample choice and delightful dining and public rooms.

Room Tip: The ever changing views down Lake Brienz and the interest of lakeside activity are a constant source...

Once again, we have thorough enjoyed our stay at the Seiler au Lac. The location, the rooms, the furnishings, the staff and the food are all the right style and balance for us. The quality is superb but there are not uniformed staff everyone looking for a tip. The Guest Card for the bus is so very good, even though we had our car. Driving was mainly because our friends can't cope with travel by air or train. The different BO Regional Pass was NOT liked.

Our return visits, and bringing friends, indicates our satisfaction. Being a family owned and run business is very attractive to us.

We sympathise with you in the challenge to the Swiss Hotel industry with the high value of the Franc and the general world financial situation. We were frankly surprised that there seemed to be more British visitors than before, and we cannot explain why. It's God's great gift that you live in such a beautiful country! And the proud care given by the Swiss their county is a delight.

Room Tip: Worth the small extra to have a lake-facing room

We had a 2nd stay at Seiler au Lac in June 2013. Our lakeview double with balcony had a million-dollar view, loveseat and comfy chair. Spacious! It also was unusually well-lit, which we appreciated. Bathroom with 2 sinks. The service-- the younger Mr. Zingg-Dinkel seems to be more in charge now, though his parents are still around-- was truly exceptional. He even went to a website to find out for us which hiking trails were closed due to weather. Dietary preferences were carefully honored. The cleaning crew, a long-employed married couple, had the room spic-n-span every day while we ate breakfast-- it was spotless. And they have a fairly new chef, who is turning out some marvelous gourmet dinners. We recommend this place. It is pricey (as all of Switzerland is) but well worth it!

Room Tip: I'd spring for the lake-view double. You just can't believe the view. We've been all o...

Recently stayed at this beautiful, hotel with my parents and young son. my parents have stayed several times before.. The location is perfect right in front of the amazing Lake Brienz, and the mountains either side. also only a short walk or convenient bus ride into Interlaken..
The rooms are spacious, kept perfectly clean and have balconies overlooking the lake on the front of the hotel...
The food is out of this world, I thoroughly enjoyed every meal I had and they were very accommodating of my child and made sure he had food he liked...
The staff are all very friendly and the owners are lovely..
would definitely recommend this hotel and area to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday with exceptional surroundings. :)

Once again we were so impressed with the Hotel, Management and Staff. The hotel is in a particularly well sited position overlooking Lake Brienz and is so peaceful and in such tranquil surroundings. The hotel is beautifully furnished and naturally very comfortable. We thought that the presentation of the food was very impressive and very suitable to our English palate.
We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone interested in a holiday in Switzerland.
Thank you once again to the Zingg-Dinkel family and their friendly staff for a very enjoyable stay.

Room Tip: Lake View with balcony

We really had a good time in Bonigen. It was most convenient for the boats and the buses, enabling us to take advantage of the half prices!

We had a very pleasant room with lovely views over the lake - never the same twice - but as has been said before the decor was a little tired. Service in the dining room was fair as was the food. We would return to this hotel to do all the things we did not have time for this time.

Room Tip: The back rooms get the sunshine but the front ones have the view.
