“Not a bad hotel, especially for a business trip”
Reviewed 7 May 2014

The hotel is in front of the rail station then very easy to find: unfortunately is far from the city center, so if you are planning to visit The Hague on foot I would suggest you to choose a different accommodation. The room was spacious and bright, very modern and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately the wifi wasn't free and I discovered it only during the check in: you have a maximum of 4 hours free, then you have to pay (10 euros for one hour...absolutely unacceptable). The quality of the wifi was also very poor during the day so I indeed don't think is it worth paying!

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the higher floors, far from the elevator and not in front of the station.

Just completed my second stay. The hotel is opposite the railway station and is part of an office complex. The room was very functional and comfortable. I was working in my room, and it was a very good set up - spacious desk and a good chair. I used the free wifi which was a bit painful but worked adequately, I should have bought a 3 day pass. Its not that it was expensive, its a principle thing.
Staff were great. I can mention Leon in front desk and Marina in the restaurant who both went out of their way to be helpful. But there were several others whose names I did not know who also were equally helpful.
Voorburg is also very nice. Walk across the road, under the railway line, and you enter a very nice high street with plenty of good restaurants. Hope to go back again soon.

We have stayed in this hotel more than a twenty times during the past ten years. The staff are extraordinarily friendly and helpful: Front desk, bar, wherever. Quality and value are exceptional: go to the hotel website and check out the special deals for a romantic weekend or other packages. You will do better than on the generic hotel websites. It is close to Den Hague, If you like to walk, like we do, you can or you can take public transport into the city. This will save you significantly over a similar hotel in the centre of Den Hague. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the train station (which is a main stop). Easy to get into and out of Amsterdam for day trips by train. No hassle finding parking or driving to the city. Just park in Voorburg, stay at this hotel and take a day trip on the train.

Rooms are very comfortable. Several comments have been made on the quality of the Wifi. This may be true but when we travel we leave the laptop at home and focus on us.

There is a restaurant within 5 minutes walk, Villa La Ruche, which is EXTRAORDINARY. Better than several Michelin one stars that we have been to.

Highly recommended to spend a weekend, relax, reconnect, recharge.

This hotel is uncomfortable.

Wifi was so poor, it was practically unusable. The hotel staff did nothing useful to improve wifi.

I was charged almost 200 euros for 1 night. I don't believe it's worth more than 60 euros per night.

The heating did not work despite the temperature being on 30 and the fan being on. I felt cold all night.

The bed mattress and linen were uncomfortable.

I connected my mobile phone to one of the power outlets but when you switch off the lights to sleep, it cuts power to the electric sockets. I found an uncharged mobile the next morning.

Just a poor experience overall. It puzzles me how anyone could rate this place anything more than the minimum.

The staff are incompetent, unfriendly and unhelpful.

For almost 200 euros, this is - to say the least - a disgrace.

Stayed 4 nights here on business and the overall facility is very good for a business trip. The room was large and very functional, the dining area and bar were staffed by excellent employees who were very willing to help in any way that they could and the food served was very nice. The hotel is let down by its approach to wifi. It advertises free wifi but the catch is that you need to sign up every four hours, the alternative is to pay for wifi per 24 hours. The actual performance of the wifi was unacceptable for a hotel that is focused on the business traveller. Skype calls would drop in and out, page load times were horrendous. It is a shame as this is the only criticism of the stay but it is a significant issue for a traveller.

I stayed here 4x nights on Business while in the Netherlands. I like this hotel and have stayed 2x previous times. It is conveniently located in a quiet part of the city, yet close to the major highways in this part of western Holland, so this hotel can easily be used for access to many major cities in the western region (i.e The Hague, Rotterdam, Delft etc). The rooms a large and well appointed, WIFI is free in entire hotel and food is great. Breakfasts are very good with large variety. Room service also offers several options, plus a snack stand take-away restaurant is just 2 minutes walk from the hotel, offering many additional great quick options. The Staff is always very helpful. This Hotel also sits right across from a major train station so this adds additional convenience for access and travel, but rooms are not noisy so building is well insulated..

Don't come here for exceptional things.
The room was large, but has had better days. It was very clean, but its not shiny new.
The mattress in room 208 was too soft and I felt the springs right through it - despite that I had a very good sleep (on the bedside that probably hasn't had much sleep since most guests were probably business and alone).
The restaurant was ok, not a very large selection and rather long waiting times. The food is ok, not very refined, but tasty.
The breakfast lacks fresh orange juice and is set up at different buffets, so that took me a while to get to know where everything is.
The staff is VERY friendly which made my stay above average, but not "Very Good".
The location is quite handy if you need to be in Voorburg, Rijswijk or Nootdorp. Parking spaces outside the hotel are free but get filled quickly at night.
Get a room away from the railway station and away from the elevators.

Room Tip: Get a room away from the railway station and away from the elevators.
