We played tourists in our own country and were surprised by the beautuful beaches and nature that Ameland provided.

The hotel itself is located in an idyllic little town that gives you a glimpse of the past. The inside (and oitside) of the hotel was clean, as were the room and there's a small surprise on the bed (very comfy bed) when you check-in.
The staff was very attentive and interested in everyone's story.

Small advise: dine at restaurant Nobel. We didn't have the time to try all the restaurants on the island but the food was great!

We definitely recommend this for everyone who's visiting the island.

The food was very delicious but the time you have to wait was too long. Sometimes they forgot some orders. The waiter was funny and lovely and you can speak german, english or nederlands. All in one: good restaurant

Me and my husband just spent a weekend in this lovely hotel. The room was really nice, clean and modern. We also had a private little garden but we preferred to hang out on the restaurants terrace instead. The restaurant was fantastic and we had many good meals there.
The staff was really sweet and helpful, we felt warmly welcomed and we would love to come back for a longer stay.

Nobel is nice but it was probably nicer before they started expanding and commercializing. They still try to uphold the image of a familly run charming little hotel but it has grown quite big and the hotel experience is getting a bit common. It feels almost as if the side businesses, the restaurant, the Nobel liquer, and various other Nobel innitiatives, have taken higher priority than the hotel. This is a shame because the place has all the potential to be something special. As a guest we did not feel very special. The terras of our room was not prepared while the weather was perfect for it. The cleaning ladies extensively discussed the situation at the island in front of our door in the morning. Maybe they tried to make clear that we should get up and check-out but we had paid for a late check-out. Annyway, this is still a nice place and maybe we were unlucky.

Hotel located in a sleepy little village 5 minutes drive from the ferry dock on the island of Ameland. The staff were very helpful at check-in. English no problem. The room was stylish and immaculate. Bed was very comfortable and the room exceptionally quiet.
