Didn t stay here, only had lunch. Stunning view, good food and friendly staff. Heard that during weekends you can have a dinner cruise on a spectacular boat, would have loved it. Price for lunch very reasonable

The photos don't do it justice. The views are spectacular from every waterfront room. The rooms are spacious and clean, good bathrooms. We went off season, so the price was very good for what you get. Only downside: since it was off season, not all the amenities are available. For the price we paid for very nice accommodations, I was not upset to forego some amenities. It is not far from the town of Guatape, and almost at the foot of El Penon. We actually walked to it. Being slightly outside of Guatape is a plus - you don't get the traffic or the noise. The reception staff is top notch. Don't expect wait staff to be on top of you - another possible off-season factor. But don't be shy - wave and they will be right over! Overall, we will definitely be back with a bunch of friends and family. Can't say enough about the views: This is what little girls think Snow white's enchanted forest looks like. If you go during the weekend, you can enjoy a dinner cruise on a spectacular boat. The boat rentals are better priced here than in the Guatape waterfront. Highly recommend.

Room Tip: Definitely spring for the waterfront room executive suite.

This is a great hotel great location with a lot to offer families and couples. The room was relaxing with a built in sofa to enjoy the view. Pool and Jacuzzi area were great. I want to go back and try the fried fish. I think it is one of the best I ever had! The rest of the food was ok. Value and service made this a great experience. All gravel entry and white modern lobby are different but added to the experience.

Room Tip: upgrade to the suite !

Overall: I would stay here again. Not a ton of options in Guatape, and this one is pretty good.

Pros:
Amazing view. You're near the start of the hike to the top of the rock. You can sit on the couch and look out at the rock/water.
Pretty good service
Large comfortable bed
Pool area

Neutral:
breakfast - included and average
Room was clean enough.... but not super well done.

Cons:
Not very noise proof - you could clearly hear people in the hall
No fan vent in bathroom (leads to mold growing, see photo)
No control of room fan/a/c, etc.
It's funny people mention weak water pressure. The water pressure in our bathroom was so strong it stung a tiny bit(more so for the GF). Generally speaking, 'good' water pressure in Colombia is hard to find.

Taking all this into consideration, I would stay here again.
Room tip: There looks to be some rooms with floor to ceiling windows and tubs facing the rock. Not very private but would be cool to have in your room.

Room Tip: There are rooms that face the rock... worth it.

Loved this hotel. Our rooms (we had three rooms) had amazing views of the Peñol and surrounding area. The rooms were nice and clean, spacious, and had plenty of extra blanket to stay nice and warm at night. The only thing we had an issue with was our bathroom had very weak water pressure in the shower. But other than that... we really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was delicious. And the pool area was perfectly maintained and the staff was nice and attentive. I highly recommend this hotel.
