After a long drive drive Vernon, BC we were so happy to arrive at Ken & Anne's B&B. They made us feel very comfortable and relaxed and I enjoyed chatting with Anne in the kitchen as she prepared for the breakfast the next morning. She made eggs Benedict along with the most delicious homemade potato hash browns. After a number of cups of coffee, we were on the road again, but will always remember our brief stay here fondly.
Beautiful place, comfortable beds and incredible hospitality!

We stayed at the York B&B on Aug 29 2014, sadly for only one night. Ken and Ann take great pride in running this wonderful B&B. Rooms were clean, the common room inviting, but mostly we spent our time at the table visiting with the other guests and our hosts. They directed us to the local sights and trails that we probably would have missed. Ann cooks a breakfast that was truly excellent, and Ken went out of his way to get us some information we wanted. If you are in the Crowsnest area, dont stay anywhere else!! Book early though, this will be busy often. Thank you so much for a great experience- eh. Richard Moreland Las Vegas Nevada USA

Just returned from a vacation/fly fishing trip in Alberta and spent the last three nights at the York Creek Bed and Breakfast. This place is tucked away on the side of a hill (behind a residential area) with stunning views of the nearby mountains. The Innkeepers, Ann and Ken, were so helpful and welcoming. And oh, the breakfast! There were 3 of us and we talked about Ann's waffles for days (I am not kidding...they were fabulous)! But it wasn't just the waffles, all the breakfasts were wonderful! Ken gave us tips on some local fishing spots and they were both so very helpful with places to check out in the area. The beds were very comfortable and the place was very clean and decorated with beautiful pictures Ann has taken of the area! Oddly enough there was a severe thunderstorm while we were there and the entire town lost power for a few hours but our emergency lights came right on providing ample lighting, even so, Ann quickly made sure we had flashlights should we need them. We loved Canada and plan to return and will definitely stay here if we are anywhere close by. It felt like we had known Ann and Ken for years …thanks for making our stay so nice!

Room Tip: If there are more than 2 of you consider staying in the apartment on the first floor. It is huge and has private entrance and kitchen area. Lots of fishing nearby and lots of interesting landmarks in this beautiful area of Canada.

We stayed here with three very polite, mild-mannered kids between the ages of 11 and 17. The hostess was immediately intrusive and shaming of the children and it became clear she has never been a parent herself. When our children used the hot tub in the manner in which they had been instructed by the hostess, she became quite upset. She interrupted our meal and without speaking to parents privately grilled our teen in front of everyone in an accusing manner for adjusting the hot tub temperature, although there has been no verbal instructions and no sign posted giving instructions not to do this. She also followed the children during our stay, complaining loudly about having to clean up after them. We all had a strong sense of being at the home of someone with an unresolved family history of their own and consequently we were quite happy to leave the intrusive hostess presence despite having enjoyed the food and good quality beds. Don't go here unless you have no children or are unfazed about spending your vacation with a slightly grumpy childless aunt.
