I was in Coleman to run in the 148 kilometre trail race in the surrounding mountains called the Sinister 7. You burn a lot of calories in this race and afterwards it's nice to go to a no-nonsense road house like this with authentic local style and great Alberta steaks. The beer selection is good and the steaks cooked to perfection. They don't over-season it, preferring the meat to speak for itself. Really good! The view of the surrounding mountains is great.

Driven by a hundred times but finally stopped for lunch on a hot day. Got their just in time as it became packed and had a line up do to a special event going on I believe in town. Anyway, the two waitress's struggled to keep up and the food took a bit longer for sure but they were running and they warned you from the start. Atmosphere is great, beer is ice cold and you can watch the chefs prepare the food. I believe ifs are allowed in until supper but it really is an old bar with a fairly basic menu but cooked upscale I would say. Stop in!

OK, my son is the general manager and my daughter-in -law is the head chef, but that aside it has taken them both 4 years to make the restaurant one of the best pub/restaurants in the pass, credit to the owner for giving them both a free reign to merge Canadian menu's with English.

Great place, lovely ambiance and quality food.
