Stayed here for one night in July and on a positive note Dinner and Breakfast were nice, views of the bay lovely and staff provided service good. However the rooms/ hotel are very tired and are in need of updating. There are a mix of of styles and some funny smells here and there so the environment is not inviting and doesn't make you feel like your holiday. DBB is pricey so its worth considering other options.

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else and go here for dinner.

Hotel was fine - clean, comfy enough bed and a good view. However, we booked a Logis because they are known for having good restaurants but unfortunately we didn't get to try this one:

At about 7.00 we booked a table at the restaurant for 8pm, on the outside terrace as it was a sunny evening. The waiter pointed out which table we would be sitting at. We returned at 8pm and 2 customers were sitting at our table for 4 people. The waiter told us that another waiter had mistakenly given our table away and there was nothing he could do unless we wanted to sit inside on the 1st floor restaurant with no view - not why we had reserved an outside table!! Very disappointing customer service, particularly as we were guests at the hotel and we were 4, rather than the party of 2 they seated!! So, we went down the road and gave our custom to a restaurant with delicious food and great customer service!

On an additional note, there was also live music happening on a stage a few metres down the road from the hotel - not their fault but we'd gone for sea view rooms at additional cost and ended up wishing we'd gone for the quieter back rooms!

Room Tip: Worth the extra for the view.

the hotel de france in camaret is right in town, over a cafe with a spectacular view of the harbor. the room was comfortable and clean, the bathroom modern and well appointed. it is good value for the money. we were there in early march when things were quiet and we just loved it.

We had a room on the 3rd floor out to the marina. Actually, it was very quiet until early in the morning when the delivery of stocks of the restaurants and shops started. The room itself was spacious and clean. The dinner at the modern restaurant was excellent. The service is good.

The hotel is right in the middle of the busy Quai Toudouze. The hotel already exists under the same name for a very long time. The public spaces vary immensely in style and I guess the same could apply to the rooms. The ground floor restaurant and reception are quite cool and modern, the first floor restaurant is much more traditional. Our room had wooden (1970s?) furniture in the bedroom, and more recent furnishings in the bathroom. It didn’t feel tired though.
We like to sleep with open windows and my wife wisely chose a backside room. She slept fine here, I woke up several times because of a noisy system which switched on and off curing the night (cooling?).
The restaurant serves decent food, but we have eaten better for less elsewhere in Brittany. They do great seafood platters though and serve good wines. The staff is helpful and swithes to English without hesitation.
