“Very nice but disappointing”
Reviewed 19 July 2013

Overall this is a very nice hotel especially for the price that we paid. The rooms were very nice and clean, the hotel had a lot of good amenities and the service was good (though they did not speak any english). The breakfast was very nice, great food and the service was good too. They had advertised with satellite TV, this resulted in a disappointing tally of 2 channels (BBC news and a financial channel). There also was no wi-fi, in a hotel that said it was recently renovated this is a huge omission...

The staff was very friendly, they helped us to find good restourant in the center of Dresden. In addition, they spoke fluent english. The location is bit far from the city centre, however it can be reached very easily within 15 min with car. The room was absolutely clean, and quite big. Near hotel was big parking place (for free and only for hotels guests). Breakfast was rich and very-very tasty - eggs, ham, sausages, cheese, cakes, yougurts, jam, fruits, juice, water, tea, coffee. We spent 1 night in the hotel and we would definetly chose it once more. Wifi was not for free.

This hotel is near Dresden. If you travel by car, this hotel is for you. There is no problem to park a car. During our stay hotel was very clean, room was enough spacious. Very very very good breakfast with wide variety of food, even hot buffet. Highly recomend.

We got sort of an upgrade at the begging for the kids: we did not get an extra bed for the child, simply we got a triple :). Solid breakfast, spacy room, clean bathroom, modest room, but for the price really ok, Very good option for families as kids up to few years are free and have their own beds!, If you have a car, a good option to visit Dresden, good for bikers

If you don't have a car, getting to hotel will be tough, overall there is nothing neat around and the hotel is a bit oldish. Average hotel, but ideally tailored to the needs.

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel.the first thing i found was a pair used socks under the nightstand and an empty bag pretzels...not a good first impression.the bathroom was clean the bedsheets too,so was the carpet and everything else. The hotel offered a gym room which didn't exist and the area where it's been laying was weird too.next to some kind of trash dump. anyways,it was close to downtown dresden.the staff was pretty friendly and the breakfast was good too,so was the price.for two nights in a 2 bedroom incl. breakfast and dog we paid 128 € which is ok.

Stayed here for 10 nights and found the hotel to be very clean. The staff were friendly and most spoke a little english which was better than my German. The hotel location is ideally suited for vists to Dresden with the train station only a 10 min walk away. ( recommend a 15 euro family ticket which gives all day unlimited travel throughout the VVO network, trams trains buses and Elbe ferries) The breakfast's were plentiful and varied although the dining room got busy when coach groups were in. We ate a couple of times in the evening in the bar area and the food was excellent and plentiful if not the cheapest. The rooms themeselves were very comfortable, although on arrival we were allocated a room with two single beds instead of the double ordered, but this was quickly and efficiently changed. The only downside (slight) was that our room was on the town side which meant I heard the noise from the engineering works first thing in the morning, but it was no real problem. There is a free internet connection available but this can get quite busy at times, but on the other hand if you are on holiday why use the net at all unless it's to find place's to visit (Highly recommend Kurort Rathen it's beautiful) Wife says to add that there is a hairdryer in the room

Room Tip: As already stated it appears that the no-smoking rooms are on the "noiseier side but I cannot b...

Good service in the restaurant, rooms, and personnel. However you need a GPS to find your room. There is no lift. When you go up three floors with your luggage and you might hink that you have found your room, but no, you need to go down to the reception, go through another part of the building and go up again three floors with your luggage.
