My husband and I stayed at The Pembroke Arms in September as guests of a friends who were having a wedding nearby. Such wonderful and personal service extended to us during our stay of 3 nights. Our room was beautiful and very comfortable and the top of the range teas and coffee were an impressive addition to the usual amenities. The breakfast selection was great and the food in general was of excellent quality. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Salisbury.

Room Tip: All rooms have a different theme.

Thank you very much for such a 'gem' of a review. It's great to read such positive feedback on your stay with us. We try and pay attention to the details and I'm glad to see you picked up on some of them, especially the top range of teas and coffee we offer. We know as well as anyone a good cuppa can really set you right for the day.

I just wanted to say thank you for our overnight stay with our friends at the Pembroke Arms at Wilton last night, we had a great time.  The staff, accommodation and restaurant were fabulous (as was the extensive wine list ) it was just right on all accounts. The staff seemed to enjoy working together and this reflected in the way we and the other guests were looked after. I would recommend the Pembroke Arms for a stay when visiting the Salisbury area. If the stay reflects the other hotels in the group would have no hesitation in booking a stay with them ....

Our third trip to Pembroke Arms and as before an excellent room, friendly staff and great food. Unfortunately the waiting/kitchen staff had a bit of a Basil Fawlty evening and some dishes got mixed up and food was delayed coming out but overall was worth waiting for and will certainly be going back as we're guessing someone was just having a bad day.

Firstly my apologies for what sounds like a below average experience at The Pembroke. As you nicely put it 'someone was having a bad day'. We do our best to avoid them at all costs and whilst they occasionally may happen, hopefully very rarely. However, I am delighted that it is your third visit to The Pembroke and many thanks for your continued support and also for posting a review.

We spent 1 night with 2 great friends of the human variety and 3 of man's best friends, who, like us,were made very welcome throughout our short stay.
The Pembroke re-opened a few months ago after a major refurb : completed to a high standard ,the much needed addition of a residents lounge later this month will complete the offer.
Food was generally excellent and the staff were very friendly and keen to receive constructive comments.Kelly in the restaurant was particularly attentive, and helped to make our stay most enjoyable.
Only downside was the size of our room which was a bit tight especially with a Labrador in tow!
All in all a good experience.

This hotel is just gorgeous! The staff are fantastic. We had a friendly and warm greeting from Tracey and can't speak highly enough of Ethan. He was amazing with our 18 month old! The breakfast was great. The rooms were warm, clean and comfortable. We would happily return to this hotel. We stayed there with two babies and the entire stay was great.

We booked this hotel because we wanted to explore Salisbury. In fact we never got there!! This was because we loved the hotel so much! From the moment we spoke to Luke on Reception to the morning we left (after only 2 days) when Stacey the waitress said she was sad we were leaving! we had a lovely time. All the staff were friendly and went the extra mile.
Because they knew it was my husband's birthday, they had upgraded us to The King's Bedchamber - a very plush room with dark furniture and attractive red furnishings. The bed was extremely comfortable. There were nice touches such as the miniature of blackcurrant vodka left for us as a nightcap, the speaker from the TV went through to the bathroom, a cafetiere, the Tea Pig tea bags and the towelling dressing gowns etc.
On the 2nd day we decided to go to Wilton House which is opposite the Hotel. The Receptionist found a complimentary voucher for us so we were able to go there for free.
The weather was glorious so we decided to sit in the garden in the afternoons and that's why we never got to Salisbury!! That will have to wait till another day!! There is a bus stop right outside the Hotel, so it would have been very easy.
The food was excellent. We happened to chat to Paul, the Chef, in the garden and on the 2nd night he actually came into the dining room from the kitchen to see if we had enjoyed the meal.
Both dinners were excellent - slightly different and beautifully presented.
This Hotel has recently been taken over by Hillbrooke Hotels. Now we can't wait to try out one of the other ones and we are already planning a visit to The Stag and Huntsman at Hambleden.

Room Tip: We loved Room 8 The King's Bedchamber. When we saw that it was at the front on quite a busy roa...

A friendly warm welcome from the time we made an enquiry right through to the end of our visit, nothing was too much trouble for the entire team. the rooms equal if not better than some of the best hotels that we have stayed in, the cute finishing touches made our stay very special, the beds snug and comfortable and spotless.
Dining a little quirky without being extravagant, and very well presented in pleasant surroundings the waiting staff extremely friendly and helpful, the choice of wines was adequate and reasonably priced.
without doubt we will return to this hotel in the near future.
