The main attraction is the open terrace overlooking the valley adjacent to their dining hall. You can catch the glimpse of the Dhauldhar Range while having ur breakfast.Food is excellent. The staff is friendly but the rooms are a bit congested with a little space n the balconies have no view. They would have been better off by including the balcony space in the rooms.

I have stayed in this hotel in March 2014. It was one of the most decent hotels in the area. Friendly staff, good food, nice rooms. There is free wifi in hotel. The hotel has beautiful terrace with great views.
It was cold in the bathroom, even though the staff arranged for the heater. The electricity went off a few times for a couple of hours, which was quite disturbing, especially in the late evenings..
Overrall, nice hotel. Will stay there again.

rooms are good and restaurant staff is good. but housekeeping is very bad. towels and bedsheets
are not so clean. And above all the restaurant manager and the main managers are very rude.
they think they oblige by doing hotel business, they do not know the meaning of Hospitality.else staff is polite. poor management.

We were a bit less confident about this hotel. We were not able to get room in Aveda, Dharamshala as it was overbooked so somebody gave us idea to saty 1 night in Mcleodganj and we chose Bella Heights...It was a very wonderful experience staying at Bella Heights..The staff was very courteous...the food was good..the rooms were clean and tidy...............Although we had to face a bit of problem while checking in due to other guests late check out but overall experience of staying at the hotel do not bother us to think about that.

All in all it was wonderful experience staying at Bella Heights ! Only drawback is that they do not have any bar... advise to the hotel to get the BAR functional as soon as possible.

I read a lot of the reviews before I went to the hotel and post my visit also continued to read a lot of these. Before I get down to a review a small disclaimer about why I went about the review in the way I have.

I have extensively traveled on work, stayed at some of the finest hotels. I know what quality and standards are the price one pays for it. The locations are driving the price or the service. Point is all said and done quality comes at a price.

Now to the review. Just don't seem to get the cribs about the place from some people here. If the place was expensive then don't stay here. If its not value make your choice. My wife and me traveled with our two and half year old daughter. And trust me we leave no stone unturned to make sure the questions are asked to ensure nothing is compromised. Water kettle in the room,,power back up.. Room being cleaned..will the ac and the heater work...manner of cooking...can hot milk for the little one come in 5 minutes as we wanted...or bla bla bla. Cleanliness and quality is not a compromise.

Rooms were kept ready when we got there,,the cab was sent to pathankot to pick us up on time, he was told to wait on the way as and when the child wanted us to wait. Food all thru was served on time given the very few times one does eat there. The restaurant is excellent tho and they go easy on oil. The breakfast spread is small and decent. If u want fancy...step out walk a bit and head to the man by restaurants and eat there.

For the price one pays here given this is a hill station and like all across india they have power and water issues...they try their best to make sure you are well taken care of.

Off course, try to be polite. No one wants to be at the receiving end of an outburst. Be friendly and they will break their backs for u. The guys at the hotel are honest to give u suggestions on where to stay. Yes...some rooms have good rooms and some don't. But then try staying in the five star hotels in BKC in mumbai and get a view.

I called many times before going there,,spoke and got the comfort. Its not in the main market area. But then would u want to on a holiday.

100 bucks or 1.75 dollars or let's say a pound and twenty maybe to get to the main market area for a drop in an alto. Eat, walk take a look around and come back.

So..to sum up lovely place. Sad that some people had booking issues but then is it not easier to call and check and confirm. Its a small place and people may not be as slick as we want em to be. With a little help from our side too...they make it all worth.

Pay more and take room 301.,its worth the money. Bathrooms are clean..laundry done at will and they employ local people and give them livelihood. Tip generously when you can. 100 bucks may not mean a lot but it's a feast for some family.

Stay here. See the experience expecting nothing. It will not let u down. But then its my view. Maybe I did not want perfection as this was a holiday.

My daughters woolen sweater got wet and it needed to be dried. A little heater was given to us for our use for 3 days. Now...am curious if they did not care why was that given to us.

P.s...they refused to clean the room in my absence. Guess that says a lot.

Friends, I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights last week (June 19,20 2014) and I found it quite average for the amount they charge. I had booked a Super deluxe room almost a month back and had requested for Room 102,202,302 in that series because this is the only series which offered a good view(as per reviews). On arriving at the hotel, we were given 203. The very reason I had booked this room was for the view and that was not given. The receptionist said that 202 had some water problem and 102 is empty but the room was dirty. So If you are impressed looking to book for the awesome view, don't fall for the looks.

4000 for one night is not at all worth it.

Room Tip: Dont book the hotel only for the view. If you want to stay close to the market and can spend 4000 pe...

This booking came through One OTA,,the management has neither promised any valley facing room , neither a discussion on the subject . Booking one month in advance does not guarantee anything , I have no idea if the OTA's have promised anything It is all new to us. There are only 6 rooms valley facing and the whole terrace is valley and mountain facing , This forum here has become a place for competitors to take advantage of this war and get bad reviews , half the time one is trying to trace why this compalint
