I am an elderly woman and I went to Selva di Fasano with three friends from Milan. We have stayed in the villa the first week of August. I actually made a booking for the weekend only, but eventually we decided to stay longer as we thought that this place was special.
We shared the apartment still having plenty of room to move around and privacy. The area inside the villa was spacious with beautiful palm trees and gardens. The place is located at about 400 m. above see level, therefore climate is not humid and fresh at night. Each room is inside a "trullo" which is a traditional Apulian dry stone hut with a conical roof. However, the extraordinary thing was the facade, decorated in a sort of Mediterranean Liberty style.
The place is quite in a neighbourhood easy to reach. There are a couple of markets where you can buy what you need and delicious local products. We were impressed by the quality of restaurants and the very reasonable prices. There's also a tennis club nearby.
My friends and I, recommend it and hope to return.
