This was surely an experience, I had never tasted ethiopian food before so I was not sure what I was getting into but it was really worth it. The food was exotic and tasty but the best part of the evening was the "coffee ritual", you'll see :)

“Lovely place”

Great, interesting food and a very friendly place. The service was amateur but very willing and extremely nice. We had the Minilik special which is safe to recommend.

“Really tasty food and an experience!”
Reviewed 27 June 2013

Excellent Ethiopian food, they´ve toned down the sourness of the injera to suit local tastes and the food was delicious! Very cozy atmosphere and of course, they performed the Ethiopian coffee ceremony and some guests from the restaurant gathered around, shared some coffee and stories, very unusual for Iceland! Had a wonderful time. If you are not accustomed to Ethiopian food, you might like to know that it is the custom to eat not with a knife and fork, but with the aid of the sponge like injera, a sort of sour bread. Have fun!

“Interesting find.”
Reviewed 26 June 2013 via mobile

We had lunch here and really enjoyed it. The other clients were all American, we didn't see any locals here. The staff were wonderful and attentive, the food was genuine Ethiopian and very tasty. A nice change from the usual and we'd recommend it.

“Nice experience”
Reviewed 22 May 2013

I liked the idea of getting Ethiopian and I was excited about the place.
Food was interesting and delicious specially injera or that fermented bread they eat everything with. I liked the fact that you can get a ritual coffee ceremony for a little bit more money.
The one thing I disliked about the place was the athmosphere. The waiters and owners were very friendly but the athmosphere there was way too quiet on a saturday night, there was no music or any sound even though the place was packed. There was an unconfortable silence which is why I got theowner to play some ethiopian music which he thought a mistake because it could bother patrons. Apart from the ahtmosphere, the place was impeccable.
