We arrived early in the am in Dundee by train and were met by Paul at the station. Had an informative tour of Dundee and a stop at Broughty Castle, a fortress castle and museum with a view of the Firth of Tay. Then we were off through the back roads and lovely countryside to Glamis Castle. Pronounced Glams by the locals ( in the UK they choose not to pronounce certain letters and we never knew which ones to omit). The guided tour of Glamis was at our expense but well worth it, after which Paul took us on a tour of the gardens. There is a cafe in the castle which was very nice also. The trip back to Dundee took us high up over the city for more great views. We said goodby to Paul and he left us at the Discovery museum which is right across from the train. All this in just a bit more than a half day and then back to Edinburgh in time for dinner.
