We arrived after trouble free travel to find that we had been allocated rooms in the annex that was at the other side of a field and a quite long walk to and from the main building. As my brother is disabled this meant that he was not going to be able to walk to and from with any ease if at all. We told the owner's son who seemed not to care and who only wanted to get the luggage into the rooms. Eventually we were promised by Nikos that we would be able to move on the Sunday (this was Thursday). We accepted this as there seemed no option and settled in to what we came to know as 'the barn' for a few days - not too bad with the extra blankets to block the draughts!. Sunday came,we moved - discovered that the rooms in the main building were not only more convenient but better furnished and not so draughty as well (the weather wasn't brilliant). The room was cleaned most days and beds changed 3 times in the fortnight but we had to ask for clean towels though some told us that they'd had them every day!
Nikos Studios is set in what can only be described as an out of the way, fairly agricultural, area. Good if you like pretty scenery not good if the sound of farm machinery annoys you! Once we ironed out the problems we liked it. It cost 6 euros for a taxi to or from the resort centre (if you can get hold of one) but we found that once the locals found that one of our party had mobility problems they were offering lifts all the time. Nikos is a great bloke and his dad's lovely even if he doesn't speak English very well. All really friendly and helpful. Not really suitable for people with mobility problems unless you intend to hire a car for the length of your stay. We found it much easier once we did.
