We visited the Wellington Inn after a day of dolphin watching and we weren't disappointed. We booked in advance, which is recommended if you don't want to be disappointed, for an evening meal and were faced with the challenge of what to eat. The specials and the menu is varied with a good selection of meals to choose from. The dessert menu is also varied with lots to choose from. Be warned though, the portion sizes are big and you don't need to eat a lot during the day prior to your meal. The food we ordered was wonderful. Full of flavour and definitely good value for money. We will be visiting again when we are next in the area and would highly recommend a visit if you are in New Quay.

We were here in July 2014. Once for drinks late evening and twice for dinner. The Publican is a warm humoured and freindly man who makes you feel at home and welcome imediately. The atmosphere is old world seafaring charm, lovely decor and furnishings, very cosy. It seems his wife is the chef. We had dinner twice here the last two nights eating out of our holiday, if we'd have found it before it would have een most nights. The menu is interesting a fusion of good old fashioned wholesome food with a modern twist and flavours. My partner is a Chef believe me he takes some impressing and very impressed he was!. Portions more than ample , service excellent and well organised. Wine list good and to top it off get a seaview table and be there at around 730pm and by 8pm or so you will be watching the Dolphins leap in the bay, ofcourse cant guarantee it but we saw them 5 nights out of 7 along this coast. I heard other guests say how lovely the roooms were, but we had been staying elsewhere. Dont miss this gem if in the area, infact go especially , well be back whenevr in wales. Thanks fabulous host and fabulous Chef.

During our visit to Woodlands it was my daughters 10th wedding anniversary, we booked a meal at the Wellington Inn, the Landlord was brilliant, the serving staff very pleasant and efficient, and the chef was magnificent. The food was excellent, and more than ample portions, at £40 per night for b & b I shall be definately booking a room next year for at least 2 weeks, the views from the hotel are magnificent, ideal for lazing on the beach and dolphin spotting.

Very friendly owner, made to feel most welcome. Lovely and oldie worldie inside. Lovely sea views from the restaurant. Nice selection of food, it would be 5 stars, but for both of us, the portions were too huge, I really dislike leaving food but we both left just under half our meal. It was very tasty, just very big! It's very overwhelming having a large amount of food. Wanted to give 4 and half, but it won't let me, so have to give it a 4!

I booked the Wellington for my Dad's 86th birthday, it felt like I had known Richard for ever just chatting on the phone! A warm welcome awaited again from Richard. The accommodation is perfect. There are 3 double bedrooms, all ensuite and they each have their own large lounge. There is also a lovely little conservatory type area to sit and watch the sea if the weather isn't so good. Then a large outdoor balcony area. We were lucky enough to see the dolphins passing through while eating breakfast. We ate at the Inn on both nights, be warned the portions are huge! I asked if breakfast was as big the next day & Richard said no, but it was! Juices, yoghurts, cereals, toast and a full cooked english if you can is available! A family run business with lots of repeat customers, would recommend for accommodation or an evening meal, it does get busy so best to book. Thanks Richard & family.

After our visit last year we were looking forward to another weekend stay, and indeed it was business as usual at the Wellington Inn on arrival and a first name welcome and immediate attention, Richard is an absolute gent as always, a perfect host and squeaky clean yet very comfortable accommodation, (The sofa in the Angharad suite is super floppy and very comfy!) Breakfast is proper full english and the tomatoes and bacon are out of this world with a perfect egg and scrummy sausages. Lush.

I can only repeat from our last stay in August http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowUserReviews-g1093682-d1151141-r172114496-Wellington_Inn-New_Quay_Ceredigion_Wales.html#REVIEWS that the Wellington is just superb. Homely, warm, comfortable, and a stones throw literally from the beach. A photographers paradise, stunning views, and just the nicest place to spend an evening keeping an eye out for the dolphins,(not in April alas!) but enjoying the finest view of Cardigan Bay nonetheless. Already looking forward to staying in August for another weekend and the same superb service with a very warm welcome. Thanks again Richard, see you in August.

Room Tip: Angharad suite has perfect sea views.

Stayed for the music festival in august 2013 and booked for the following year before we left. Amazing balcony area with a fab view of the sea, where we sat on cushioned furniture with a drink in hand, watching the dolphins. The breakfast was amazing, the accommodation was great with your own private lounge, great for relaxing in. Can't wait to return in august
