Booked at Y Traeth for Sunday lunchtime, as we did not want a roast dinner.Arrived early and sat out on the verandah looking out on a glorius Cardigan bay, and watching the world go by whilst enjoying a nice glass of wine. The three of us had different starters, which were all fabulous, and the main courses were really really good, and plenty of it. I had the coconut chilli chicken, which was fabulous, and my husband had the Viking gammon, which was also first class. My sister's chicken with goats cheese was fabulous, and reminded her of the one she used to have in the Ship Tresaith years ago.The service was fabulous and a lovely friendly waitress. The owner came over and recognised my sister, from years ago, and it transpired that he and the chef used to be in the Ship Tresaith, so no wonder the food was so good, it was at the Ship with them too. This was our first visit, but definately not the last.

We booked a table for Sunday lunch at this delightful restaurant. Lovely sea views. We would have liked a table on the balcony overlooking the sea but there were no tables available when we arrived. After a short while some customers decided to sit indoors as there were too many wasps outside.
Our meal was fantastic. Lots of fish specialities on the menu which represented excellent value for money. I had the seafood Summer salad which had lots of different hot shellfish and calamari, served with a huge chunk of warm bread. It was delicious. My husband had the mackerel special which was also cooed to perfection.
It was Bank Holiday Sunday and very busy, but the service was efficient. The staff were all very friendly. A lovely jaunty seaside restaurant, decorated in a suitable way for its position.

Great little restaurant on the first floor. Great views. Friendly staff. Pleasant place to eat. Started with Calamares and Sue had Garlic Mushrooms served with a huge chunk of nice bread. Both then had Ribeye steaks with a good pile of chips. We don't bother with puddings, but looked interesting enough. We have since returned and both had Seabass cooked nicely.
We missed Traeth when the last owners shut last year. Hope it will be there for many years!

We were on one of our frequent visits from London and we were waited on by the most charming young man who truly made our evening, my wife's in particular. Nothing was too much trouble; and he wrapped us all up in blankets as we went outside for our nightcap which we thought was so quaint.

The food was very nice; we shared a garlic pizza (they're big) followed by the captains platter. This was all very good value; we did however feel the drinks were a tad expensive. But our waiter kindly offered us water and was very attentive to our needs. The food is modern and well presented. Though the menus themselves could benefit from benefit from better presentation; the content was great.

This restaurant comes highly recommended. This young restaurant has a great future ahead of it!

Visited treath a couple of times over our week long visit, food always excellent but staff and service a bit hit and miss. With wrong orders and missed orders experienced, but has outdoor balcony and friendly staff so on balance take a chance and go. Very steep stairs and a tight squeeze inside.
