We have now stayed twice at St Mary's cottage and each time have been really impressed by the welcome hamper and the attention to detail in all aspects of this cosy well kept cottage. I feel reluctant to say too much as I would hate to find it booked next time we wanted to visit to Hadleigh!

“A delightful retreat”

We came to celebrate best friends 60th birthday, she had booked the cottage for us, what a lovely place to stay just right for two of us.(and our travelling cat)
Everything we needed, very comfortable and hard to believe how close we were to the main shops.
The church opposite is lovely and though the bells chimed each hour they did not disturb our restful sleep.
Parking is limited but we managed fine each day.
You may come across a delightful elderly lady who will point out the double yellow lines close to the cottage, just say hi from us!

“Cosy cottage in small Suffolk town”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 January 2014 for a stay in December 2013

We can highly recommend this cottage. It was just perfect for the two of us. It was well-equipped and in a great location. We were visiting relatives and it was a welcome retreat.

“Beautiful Cottage in Lovely Location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 November 2013 for a stay in June 2013

We've stayed in this well designed, thoughtfully equipped and maintained cottage in all seasons over recent years and never been disappointed. It's a home away from home but with the advantage of a beautiful, historic setting in a pretty town with wonderful, nearby river walks for you and your dog. The High Street is magical at Christmas.

“Cosy, dog friendly, great nearby pubs and restaurants”

We booked the cottage at short notice for a weekend break, and it was a bit of a random choice for us in terms of location, but we were very pleased with it. The cottage is tiny but very well equipped and cosy, and it was great that we could bring our terrible terrier along.
We drank in The George, just a short walk from the cottage, where the staff were very friendly and there was a great local atmosphere, and ate fine food at The Ram, which despite being rather swanky and newly refurbished welcomed us in with our muddy boots and damp dog.
Lats but not least, the breakfast hamper was wonderful - some of the best bacon I have ever eaten!
