Susie's is a great little cafe/tea room. The cream teas are delicious and the ginger scones with honey and clotted cream are simply gorgeous. The menu is simple and the the specials board loaded with mouthwatering tasty snacks. The Guardian is lovely but very busy in the summer and is a steep flight of stairs up, worth the climb!
Service is good

Just one of the best Cream Teas we have had. Susie could not have been more helpful, even though we stayed well past closing time... It was more important for us to have a relaxing time than for her to close and go home! The scones were fresh and warm with the best Devonshire clotted cream i have had. thick tasty and full of flavour! wow!

Lovely tea rooms (+ garden area) in back street of Appledore - miss out at your peril! Clean & bright surroundings. The ladies who serve are friendly, polite & efficient. The tea arrives in huge teapots (always a bonus) & tasted great. The scones are truly some of the best I have EVER eaten. An all round fantastic experience. Would definitely go again - a must visit.

We have visited this cafe for coffee before but this time we tried the cream tea and really enjoyed it. The scones are nice and you get a generous amount of jam and cream. Very reasonably priced too.
The cafe is clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. There is also a nice tea garden and dogs are welcome. The staff are very friendly and service is quick.
Definitely worth a visit.

We loved Appledore. At lunchtime we didn't want to go to a pub - there were several - so were delighted to find this cafe in the little alleyways at the back of the main street.Garden was full but it was lovely sitting inside at the window. Food was good - well priced too, staff reasonably friendly and there was free wi-fi! Went back a second time before we left the area and it was just as good.
