This cafe is one of those great 'finds'. It is a quiet village near Frome and you walk in from deserted streets to a buzzing cafe. You are greeted as though you are the first people to have ever walked through the door and are faced with a stunning display of tarts and homemade salads all of which is carefully described for you. Salads include things like shredded fennel and mango, broad beans and a sort of pea purée. There was also chicken and Parma ham and artichoke tarts so it's not just for veggies. While you make up your mind - which isn't easy - a table is set for you - including a jug of water. Food is lovely and we shared a cake that was served with fruit and cream. Excellent coffee. Well worth travelling quite a long way for.
