What a beautiful place to stay when visiting Venice. It is so convenient to the airport and just a quick bus ride to Venice. The rooms were spacious and spotless. We had a lovely breakfast right there before starting our day. The staff were wonderful. Patrizia was so kind and helpful. She had all the information we could want to make our stay perfect. The grounds are so beautiful and it is a quick walk to good restaurants. We would certainly recommend Ca'Danieli.

This hotel has been built on and old garden nusery about seven years ago and as such is more a pplace to sleep and stay than a hotel experience. It has big rooms with excellent bathrooms. The whole set up seem very secure with an electronic gate to the entrance and one or two big bolts on the door shatter AND a lock on the glass door to your rooms as well. Lots of garden to sit in and picnic if that's you thing. I used them for practicing the guitar and they were quiet and I was the only person out there - I'd guess there is about an acre of garden in total - may slightly less.

Breackfast is more than adequate for a continental one - but no cooked breakfasts - you'll be ouit of luck if you want bacon and eggs - but fine if cheese, cold meats and salami, cornflakes and milk, croisants, bread, jam, fruit, biscuits, and coffees and teas are your thing.

Very quiet at night. The local village has a couple of pizza places where you can get a beer as well. Amnd there is the Marriot if you want smarter surroundings to eat and drink - about ten minutes walk down the pavement on either side of the road.

The buss stops at the end of the road and you could come from the airport on the number 5 and get off about 50 yards from the hotel. Its the second or third stop from the airport (after the Marriot). The bus to Venice (same No 5 bus) passes every 15 minutes and every 20 on Sundays and Festival days. I was yold the last bus back is 23.30, but I did get one on Sunday at 00.40 - so that's pretty late as Venice was closing up by then. On the way back look for the Esso and Avis signs - that's your stop. If you miss it you'll have to walk back from the next stop which is about 400 yards further. Tickets this year 2013 are 1.70 Euro each way to the Airport, from the Airport, and to, and from Venice - just one price for all journies.

The rates at the hotel are pretty cheap for Venice and really all you need if you are going to be out all day and eating out. Don't forget if you opt to stay in the heart of Venice there are all sorts of extra costs get to and from your Venice cetre locations - some of the hotels in the centre of Vence are a bloody long hike if you have luggage. Even from the ferries (7 or 9 Euros I think) or a much more expensive water taxi (30+ Euros I'd guess) - don't even think Gondola - you can still have quite a walk. (Heaving heavy big cases around back streets and across what will feel like endless footbridges won't seem nearly as romantic as you thought when booking).

If you are working to a budget you won't find much better than this hotel.

Room Tip: They are all OK

Nice affordable room and so close to the airport. Two local buses are just two stops away from airport, The bus stop is steps away from the hotel. One of the local buses goes directly to Venice, and the couple of towns in between. The restaurants in Tessera are within walking distance, are good, and half the price of Venice. There is a wine seller in Tessera that sells good wine from the barrel for next to nothing.

Room Tip: The local bus from the airport requires exact change. Be sure to get some euros from ATM at airport.

Good: really close to airport and easy to reach by a car. Service is nice and rooms are big, comfort and very clean.
Bad: mosquitoes. A lot. This is not a problem of the specific place but of the whole area. But the rooms at Ca'Danielli do not have screens, so you must close everything in order to avoid getting bitten, but then you'll have to air... (Our solution was to go to sleep, turn off all lights, then open the window).

In general, this is more like a B&B or a small hotel, than an agriturismo. After staying in numerous agriturismos in other parts of Italy, it is not the same experience. I.e. do not expect some personal hospitality in an agricultural farm.

But after all, it was a nice stay and the place is very beautiful. The price was lower than most other locations around. If you need a place near the airport, consider this one.

The rooms were adequate but very poor lighting. When we stayed it was early October and the Mosquitos were thick. No screens on the windows or doors and no fans in the rooms made for a very uncomfortable night. When we checked in rather than tell us "what they could do for us" we were told what we were "not to do". We were told: not to turn on the airconditioner, not to do any laundry in the sinks, not to leave lights on in rooms you were not in, not to leave your room without double locking the doors and windows. GEEZ! I don't know about other travelers but I certainly expect to wash out a few things in the sink when I'm traveling! And, NO, I am not going to hike down the road to a laundramat to do it. We commented to each other that we felt overall like we had checked into a concentration camp....what with all the rules! I imagine the grounds to this facility must have been beautiful at one time but it looks as though it has not been tended in months. Scumy slimy ponds and weeds everywhere.
On the brighter side.....with some work and an attitude adjustment this property has great promise. The location is good. The facility and rooms are nice. The changes that need to be made are: Fans or airconditioning in the rooms, screens on the windows, better lighting, gardens cleaned up and a more welcoming and accommodating attitude. Joanie Z

The gardens may have been beautiful early in Spring or Summer, but in October they were untended and full of mosquitos. With no screens on the doors or windows and no air or fans available ("not in the contract" - whatever that meant) it made for miserable nights. The lighting was poor to non-existent in our room and don't even think to ask for something extra...or to wash out you unmentionables, it's not allowed. However, the location is good, with the No 5 bus running every 15 minutes just outside the gates. This bus goes between the airport and Venice bus terminal. Be sure to buy the full bus pass which allows you to get on and off at all stops and catch the water bus on the canels.

We stayed at Ca Danieli this summer and there are lots of good things to say about it. The location is convenient - even though you are outside of the islands of Venice you are only a few minutes from a bus stop that will take you directly to the Piazzale Roma. You can buy a pass that covers buses and vaporettos at that stop. You are also not far from the airport which might be handy if you are renting a car to go elsewhere. The rooms are nice, the breakfast is good too and the staff are professional but there is a sense of generosity that is missing. This shows up when you ask for something extra, like a bottle opener (which you might expect to find in a room that has a kitchenette), or a pillow.

There is convenient parking, aircon and wifi access.
