“Great for an Early Flight From Venice”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 July 2014

The room was very small but clean and staff were friendly. A/C did not adequately cool the room. Fairly nice breakfast BUT coffee was instant from machines.

This hotel is great for an early flight out of Venice otherwise I would not stay at here.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to write your review on TripAdvisor. Your opinion is very important to us!

I do apologise in the name of all the staff for the issue regarding the Air Conditioning. On such day we experienced some issues with the A/C System and we had to wait for the maintenance to be done. It is now working properly.

We hope to have you back in the forseeable future,

Kind Regards

We enjoyed a good stay in your hotel. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was delicious.
But we are very sorry about one point.
The departure place of your shuttle bus from the airport was very complicated.
We call you twice and asked the details, but we could not understand all of it. So we could not reach the point and took a regular root bus to your hotel.
Though our poor English listening ability did not understand your explanation,
we hope moving the bus stop to more clear point and more plain explanation to you.

Dear Mr Masatoshi,

Thank you for having taken the time to write your review on TripAdvisor. Your opinion is very important to us and we value your feedback. By telling us what you liked about your stay and how we can improve, you are helping us deliver a superior experience for you and other guests in the future.

As for the shuttle issue, we are very sorry but this is what the new Airport Regulation has decided for all the Hotel Shuttles. In fact all the Hotel Shuttles are banned from entering the Terminal and have to make their own arrangements for the pick up and drop off of their guest.

We hope you will come back and see us again soon.
Thank you again for taking the time to write a review on TripAdvisor. We appreciate your loyalty to our brand.

If you need to overnight near VCE, this is a practical choice. I've stayed here twice to cope with the logistics of departing on long flights from Marco Polo Airport and have found the rooms modern, clean and quiet. The buffet breakfast is ample and available from 4:30 a.m. The airport shuttle is convenient and reliable, staff friendly and professional. If you have time and want to visit Venice, a city bus leaves every 15 minutes and takes about a half hour to reach Piazzale Roma.

Dear Mr Mark,

Thank you for having taken the time to write a few words on TripAdvisor. Your opinion is very important to us so as to improve our services.

You are perfectly right when you say that the location is convenient: only 900 mt from Venice Marco Polo Airport and 20 minutes ride on the bus to Venice downtown. This makes the Hotel perfect for short breaks between a business trip and the other!.

Thank you again for being loyal to the BEST WESTERN Titian Inn Hotel Venice Airport!

We were very happy with this hotel.. Our room was very clean and warm as the afternoon sun just pours in.Most impressed with the frontline staff. They were all very helpful. We stayed here a night before we did a 14 day cruise from Venice round Italy. We were wondering how we would get to the port to join our ship but the frontline staff organized the hotel car to take us for only Eu$20. Our bathroom was very clean and Hotel very quiet...we will recommend this Hotel to others who are joining a cruise from Venice. Lots of restaurants outside the hotel

Room Tip: Top floor facing the road, sorry can't remember the number.Facing the road gets the afternoon sun...

This hotel is ideal for an overnight stay near the airport as it is easy to get into town. There are a few lovely pizza places nearby but not much else around the hotel and nowhere to sit in the sun for a while. The rooms were lovely and not fault at all with them or the breakfast/ Sadly, they let us down with the airport shuttle. I contacted them before we left for arrangements which they sent but then they were changed without notice. Arriving late at night, I had to call the hotel ten times as the arrangements were unclear. I couldn't believe that you have to leave the airport and walk the length of a long stay car park in the dark and stand until you see them arriving. We ended up taking a taxi the two minute ride at minimum of €20! The staff on reception on arrival were rude although the manager in the morning was more apologetic. The return to the airport was no problem but still couldn't believe that we were getting dropped off in the middle of a car park with no signs or anything. The Marriott shuttle was there and although also in the car park, was within site of the airport roadway where the shuttles used to go (and where the road markings for Shuttles were still there). Would I go back? Maybe but for no more than one night.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for having taken the time to write your comments on TripAdvisor. Your opinion is very important to us so as to improve our services.

Please, let me explain the "Shuttle Story" as you may not know. Until a few weeks ago, all hotel shuttles could go inside the airport, departure level on the second lane and pick their guest up with no issues. Then one day, the Airport Authority decided that all of a sudden the Hotel Shuttles we not allowed inside the Terminal for security reasons. At this point all the Hotels, offering this service free of charge, had to re-arrange the whole service. This is the reason why the pick up point was changed and why we pick up and drop off our guests at the Parking Number 2 at the arrivals level.

Had it been for the Hotel, we would have preferred to pick you up inside the Terminal as it used to be, but we are not allowed any longer.

Therefore, please accept my apologies in the name of all the staff, for the issue who had to face and I hope you will come back to visit us in the forseeable future.

Regards

We had a very early flight from Marco Polo airport (VCE) to Frankfurt, so we opted to stay at a hotel near VCE. Chose the Best Western Titian in Tessara, based on Trip Advisor reviews. The hotel provides a 5-minute, free shuttle ride to VCE. We chose a “superior” room (newer, but – according to others – a bit smaller than the older “regular” rooms. We had 2 large and two medium sized suitcases, plus a couple of shoulder bags and we had plenty of room.) Bathroom was spotless and “new”; beds were firm and very comfortable; room was spotless; staff very helpful in registering us and helping with all our questions, including recommending a very nice local Italian restaurant (5 minute walk) where we had a great final meal in Venice.

The following comments relate to our experience in getting from cruise terminal to the hotel. If this is not an issue for you, have a nice day!

Our stay here was on the back-side of a cruise. Our cruise had an “overnight” in Venice at it’s end, so when we left the ship on the arrival day, we were able to locate all of the various options for transporting us and our luggage to the hotel. There are many options. Since our final disembarkation was early on the final day, and our flight home was early the following morning, one option we considered was storing our luggage at the port (in the main terminal building) and spending the day in Venice, and then finding our way to hotel that evening. A second option is to schlep your bags to Piazzale Roma and store the bags there (7 euros each) and then take the ATVO bus out to the airport. (ATVO is preferable to the competing ACTV since it has a luggage undercarriage instead of carrying bags into the passenger area of the bus. ATVO to Venice airport is 6 euros; ACTV is 2.60). In either case, you will need to locate exactly where your bus will be located once you arrive at the large bus station area at Piazzale Roma (Many “stands” and the signage in the area is not always reliable. Also, there are many people who work in Venice and take the bus to the island and home again at night, so “rush hour” can be a madhouse with everyone pushing to get on their bus. Standing room only is common, even in mid-day.)

During our free day in Venice (before disembarkation), we located the way we would get to Piazzale Roma bus station and the luggage storage place there. Our ship docked at the end of the pier that is closest to the “People Mover” tram that runs to Piazzale Roma. It was ~5 minute walk from the ship, through the terminal building to the plaza areas at the head of the pier (taxi’s available right there if you choose a taxi). To get to the People Mover, you will walk about 200 yards to the entranceway to the tram. The day we were there, the elevator and a section of the escalator was “out of service”. The People Mover costs 1.3 euros/pp each way. Since we had quite a lot of luggage, and the elevator and escalator were not reliable, we opted to take a taxi directly to our hotel on disembarkation day, store our bags at the hotel, and then take a 15-20 minute ACTV bus back to Piazzale Roma. (2.6 euros for the whole day). The ACTV bus stop is a 5 minute walk from Hotel Titian. The taxi from the port to hotel was 45 euros. Ours was a “regular” full-sized sedan and was only able to handle luggage for two people. There are several larger SUV/Mini-van/station-wagon taxis that could handle 4 passengers, for the same 45 euro price, so if you connect with 2 other passengers who want a taxi to VCE, you could share the fee.

Room Tip: We chose a "superior" room (~10euros more). According to other Trip Advisor users, the &q...

Easy to get to will cost 20 euro for a taxi from the airport. Didn't realise they a had a shuttle you could book. Very clean room and really large. Bed was good, we bring our own pillows - tempur so can't comment on that. Bathroom was supper clean with is always nice. Pressure in shower ok. What was really good is that they run shuttles to the cruise terminals so no hassle - book when you check in - didn't relise you could do this, we book on the morning - a fair price. Place was quite - wi fi ok. Breakfast was not flash - but we were heading to the ship.

We do our best to organise all the types of transportation needed as we know it can be rather difficult to find good service at affordable prices, especially in Venice where transportation is an issue due to the uniqueness of the City. Therefore we take care of all of you from the airport pick up to the Cruise drop off.
