Remarkably friendly staff for a short stay hotel. Great at check inn and with advice about transport etc. Rooms as you would expect from a Courtyard Marriott. My deluxe room was functional, clean and comfortable. We went into Venice in the afternoon and caught a bus directly from across the street to the terminus on Venice Island. Very convenient at 25mins and at euro 2.60 return - very cheap! If you have a morning flight out of Marco Polo airport this is a great option.

I agree with other travelers, the main attraction of this hotel is the proximity to Marco Polo Airport. We were warned that morning traffic to the airport is very bad and, since we had an early flight to Paris, we decided to stay here.
Suggestion: Set reasonable expectations and you won't be disappointed. This is a standard Marriott hotel. Do not expect a charming Venice hotel.
The room was reasonably sized, clean and comfortable.
We had lunch in the restaurant and it was adequate, a little over-priced. Service was fine.
Desk service for check-in and check-out was efficient and cordial.
Breakfast buffet offered several choices however it was expensive.
The free shuttle service to the airport was great. A short ride. Driver was on time, carried our heavy luggage on and off of the van, and was most pleasant.
Note that Marco Polo Airport closes at late night and doesn't re-open until early morning. The airline ticket and check-in representatives do not start work until 7:30 AM, which causes long lines.
I have travelled on business trips for years, I am a Marriott Rewards member, and have rarely been disappointed by Marriott as a good business hotel. This one was fine. Room was reasonably priced. especially when you consider that you avoid dragging luggage all over Venice and time saved. I would recommend this hotel.

This was my last hotel, before my husband and I left Italy. My husband left that evening, and I left the next morning. This hotel was very nice, clean and accommodating. This hotel was very close to the airport that I had to go to, which was Marco Polo Venice Airport.

We chose this hotel because of our early morning flight the next day and the fact that we did not want to deal with lugging luggage up and down steps and bridges in Venice post-cruise.
We disembarked from a cruise ship early Saturday morning and were met promptly by the driver pre-arranged by the hotel. The front desk help was friendly and efficient.
Our room was not ready yet, but we stored our luggage and took the bus, which stops directly across the street, back into the city for just a few Euros. Foolishly, we did not note the name of the bus stop...
After a long day of Venice sightseeing and shopping we made our way back by vaporetto to the main bus station at Piazzale Roma and caught the bus back to the hotel. However, we had failed to note the station and ended up at the airport. We called the hotel and their free shuttle came and picked us up.
The room was as advertised - simple, but clean and more than adequate for 1 night. After the cruise ship cabin, it seemed spacious! We had dinner in the hotel restaurant, and while the food was fine, the service was not. There was only 1 server working and he tried his best as he scurried around, but it was really slow.
Wifi was free in the lobby, but not free in the room. We are Marriott Reward members and have always had free wifi at all of the Marriotts we have stayed at.
Breakfast the next morning was OK and the airport shuttle was right on time.
The proximity to the airport was the key here. Improvements could be made here - restaurant service was lacking and wifi should be free,
Also, the front desk should be prepared to give guests a printout of how to return to the hotel from Venice. We found out later that an Alilaguna boat would have been the most expedient way to return (to the airport, then hotel shuttle) instead of waiting over an hour for a very crowded vaporetto to the bus station and then a long bus ride.

What Marriot Hotel charges for a loss plastic room key/card? Thissa one!! They even charged me for a second key/card they never gave me. Its one thing to pay for the key I loss, its another thing to pay for a key I didn't receive. These keys only cost a few cents.
The some staff member needs some serious training on customer service. The Hotel was very convenient as its very close to the Airport. The breakfast is over priced for what they offer. The room was clean and very modern.

Arrived at airport rang hotel asked what time the the bus to hotel would arrive was told 10 minutes bus took 35 minutes , found out it was 500 meters away

Needed laundry done, rang concierge engaged 14 times rang reception also engaged 6 times washed shirt myself. Found out later that there is no concierge just reception and everyone was concentrating in looking extremely smart and glamorous

On last day arranged late check out for either 1.30 or maybe 2 open to interpretation but in any case went up to room could not get in at 1.20

Went to reception they said you should have checked out at 1.30 I said its only 1.30 now

Ok will get key to work went back to room ......couldnt get in

Went back to reception sent back to room.......key didnt work

Went back to reception sent back to room ..........key didnt work

Went back to reception sent back to room .........key didnt work


Finally let in by someone else using their key

Told it was because I checked out late as agreed but it was a problem.......has this never happened before

So basically forget marriott service think Micky mouse and not in a a nice way

Was In a meeting at hotel .....who was paying i the bill no one knew....I checked out and 6 hours later they decided to chase me and then when I said I checked out hours ago they said ok dont pay someone else will.

Chaos.....

But everyone was very smart in their shiny uniforms and looked great

Also platinum card holder but didnt get an upgrade and rooms were dirty small and two tiny singles beds ............really home from home......not

Take my advice stay somewhere else......anywhere else.......

Room Tip: Try another hotel they may have a nice room just not here.

This is an American hotel in Italy and you pay for it. The price is high for the convenience of being close to the airport. We stayed here because our flight left very early and we didn't want to be late. They have a shuttle to the airport. The rooms are clean and big. The front desk clerks are helpful, but the service at the restaurant bar was terrible. Being a big chain hotel it was amazing that they didn't offer free Wi-Fi! You can use it for an hour without being charged. Overall, if you want to pay too much for a place close to the airport this would be the place.
