If attanding a conference at the Grimaldi Forum this is an ideal place to stay on a budget, very helpful staff, in particularly Maria on reception, pleasant very quiet air conditioned rooms. Breakfast is a bit basic so I would suggest going down the hill to a cafe. The hotel is about 5 levels up from the seafront and it si accessed up the lifts and escalators that rise up the hillside, it is actually in France just. I would also reccommend that for an evening meal you go up the hill a couple of roads and there are plenty of good basic restaurants and almost next door there is a great indoor market.

Room Tip: perhaps pay a little more and ask for one of the front corner rooms

We stayed at this hotel for just 1 night. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff (appeared to be family run). The rooms we had were just fantastic being the bay window rooms at the front of the hotel, so a bit more space that usual.

The only downside to this hotel - and I hasten to add it's not the hotels fault - is the fact that in order to gat a taxi into Monaco is next to impossible unless you walk 50 metres down the road, into Monaco. Something about the Monaco cab drivers not wanting to go into France, and this hotel is JUST inside the border.

I would return to this hotel.

Lovely little spot. Easy walk to Monaco. Lovely family run business. Room was fine, the bathroom was gorgeous. Helpful owners. Nice place for pain au chocolat & decent coffee just down the street. Supermarket, markets, bars etc all close by and not as expensive as down towards the water.

We stayed at this hotel for one night as part of a two week European driving holiday. It was reasonably priced considering it is practically in Monte Carlo.

When we were arrived at half three we were told our room wasn’t ready despite check in time being 3pm. Considering I had just driven straight from Florence and was in desperate need of a shower I was not impressed! I asked for another room which was given and then got to the room to find that the key card didn’t open the door which meant another trip down to reception and for someone to come up to the room with me! For me a room not being ready at arrival and electronic key cards not working are two of my biggest bugbears when it comes to hotels so it wasn’t the best start!

On top of this I discovered that the hotel parking space I had reserved was one of two cramped on street unsecure parking spaces. Right next to the hotel was a secure underground cheaper car park (which the reception staff told me was full when it wasn’t)!

The room was small, but cool and quiet. It was an easy 5 minute walk to the Casino. We didn’t bother with breakfast as we noticed a lovely bakery round the corner from the hotel so we had fresh croissants instead! There was also a supermarket and lovely Indian restaurant (Prince Albert’s favourite apparently) nearby.

Overall it was a cost effective hotel if you want to visit Monaco which itself is fairly impressive if only for the yachts and super cars on view! Not sure I would want to live there if I was super rich though!

Very old property!!Crazy prices!the staff is not able to help you at all and sometime they are also inpolite...the breakfast is very poor and Internet doesn not work very well.
The only positive thing is its position but there are many other hotels around there...

This hotel is perectly situated for anyone wanting to visit Monaco without paying Monaco prices. From the front door it is 100 metres plus a short flight of steps to Casino Square.

The hotel is traditional and family-run but it has wi-fi for just 1 euro/day (possibly free depending where you book). Breakfast is 10 euros but there are plenty of other options nearby if you prefer to eat outside as I did. There are a few restaurants nearby for evenings but none are spectacularly good so I went into Monaco to some of my favourites!

My single room still had a double bed (comfortable but squeaky!) and was amazingly quiet.

The hotel is tricky to find and is in a one-way street amid the maze of roads that is Beausoleil so allow plenty of time to find it. The hotel has very limited parking attached to it but is right next door to an underground public car park whch is very safe and a reasonable 15 euros/day (it actually charges by the hour so this is the maximum you would pay).

Another reviewer has detailed how easy it is to access this hotel from the train station and I would agree that this is an excellent solution if you donlt want/need to drive.

If you're seeking luxury then this hotel won't be for you but the 3* rating is spot on and the location is almost perfect.

Bit old fashioned and a few worn carpets, but clean and quiet (great sound isolation between walls). Very friendly & helpful owners (family run place). very convenient location. I would stay there again. They have "free" internet access via WiFi & a PC at reception, but this was very, very slow (my impression was the old Windows PC was slow, not the connection) and was broken part of the time. Didn't bother with breakfast at EUR 10 as it didn't seem worth the money.
