Hotel is quite far out of town however very close to metro station. On arrival we had no hot water in our room we went down to reception several times and they kept saying they would send maintenance people up. Eventually we ran into a nice staff member who promptly checked the taps and then gave us another room. Overall the reception staff were very unhelpful. However the rooms were clean. some parts of the hotel need a bit of a spruce up but over all clean and tidy.
Chose this hotel as it was cheap for paris and the location looked ok for getting to with a van. INdeed, it was ok to get there, it's about 30 seconds from a main metro station with car parking and in August free on street parking. This is probably where the good bit ends. The whole hotel seemed very tired round the edges and,although I know you get what you pay for, it really wasn't up to much. The edging from furniture was missing, carpets were filthy and the flooring was coming up. Staff were ok although the cleaners seem to take over the whole building when they were there.
This hotel wins points for location and price but to be honest, I think you could find better for not much more money.
If you dont mind being about 30 minutes out of the heart of Paris, this is a good, very well positioned hotel. Only 100 metres from Curiel-Achan station on the RER B line (€2.50), it is very easy to get to. There is an elevator and lifts at the station and it is only eight stops to GareDu Nord.
The hotel is located off a little plaza, has helpful, friendly english speaking staff, a small bar and lounge and can do breakfast for €9. The beds are comfortable, rooms are not too small, have a kettle and coffee (rare in Paris) and good wifi.
A couple of minor downsides - there are no toiletries (but are available to buy €8) and the bathroom is of the older style. The air-conditioning was unfortunately ineffectual, a problem given it was a quite a hot night.
If location is not a huge issue and you want a reasonably priced, good standard hotel, the Kyriad fits the bill nicely. Just realise you are 30 minute train ride to central Paris.
This hotel is 15 mins to Paris from the RER station across the street the rooms are massive their is plenty of places round cachan to eat be wary not alot of places speak English. The rooms were massive for a triple room we had three single beds and we still had loads of room to walk about only downside is they didn't bring the 2 extra pillows we asked for and the only tea they had was green tea/herbal would of preferred a proper tea :)
this is one of the best hotels I have stayed.it is so clean, staff is so helpful.it located just near the train station and you can reach the centre of Paris in 15 minutes.very good location.very quite.simply loved it and will visit again and again
A clean hotel with comfortable air conditioned en suite rooms at very reasonable prices. Very close to (less than 200 metres) Arcueil-Cachan railway station (RER line B) with excellent links to Paris Orly and Charles de Gaulle airports and the centre of Paris. We booked via Expedia.com and stayed for five nights.
The rooms are small but adequate for two people. The free Wi-Fi works well.
Parking is also available in the hotel's underground car park. The price quoted is Euro 6.00 per day but it may be negotiable Cachan is conveniently close to the A6 autoroute and the Paris Peripherique.
A selection of food and other shops is available within a short walk of the hotel.
