We have stayed in the Kingfisher lodge at Badwell Ash four times.

As a married couple of six years all we can say is this: If you love your partner and you're looking for a little piece of paradise to spend some quality time with them, your search is over!

Fantastic finish on the lodges, plenty of privacy, excellent welcome hamper and oh that hot tub! Try it at midnight with a glass or two of the complimentary champagne ;)

Thinking about it, going to book up another visit.

We have just had our second stay in Heron, could not wait to get there and struggled to leave. It really is the most amazing place peaceful, relaxing and spotlessly clean. The hamper is very welcome as is the bottle of bubbly, but nothing can take away the fact that Claire and Steve put a tremendous amount of thought and work into making sure that you have a great time. On a purley selfish level the reviews are so good, which is well deserved but a bit of a worry in case theres no room next year Liz and Steve hereford

Had a very relaxing week at the beginning of May, wonderful break, fantastic lodges with lots of extra touches that make this place different. Had a great week's fishing (only thing that could have been better was the weather of course!) One of the black swan's there has got very stroppy (time of year I guess) and chases anything and anyone (felt a little sorry for the ducks and ducklings!) so be prepared to have a staring contest with him until he gives up and walks away in a huff! We have already booked a weekend mid summer to try and be there when the sun shines!

Just returned from our first visit this year to Badwell Ash Holiday Lodges, and quite frankly it leaves me totally in awe! Stunning lodges, beautiful location and incredible fishing on this stay, cannot wait till our next visit in October, The owner Clare is doing a fantastic Job and her commitment to her guests and her grounds is fantastic, great welcome hampers, great little luxuries in the lodges and a hot tub as well? Think I am in heaven when we are there. The downside, is having to leave to come home.

Had another (our 5th?) stay at Badwell Ash and this time we booked the whole site to celebrate a 70th birthday. Those of our party who were visiting for the first time were completely knocked out - they all plan to return. Makes you realise just how how special this place is. After several years of visiting, we have probably got used to the rather special relaxed vibe - regular dips in the outdoor jacuzzi (with the complimentary champagne), a good walk, the odd barbecue or fireworks and chilling round the firepit. Personally I rather like the steam shower - its almost an effort to fit in all the the treats available!

Just a beautiful place and Clare the owner is a truly great host - there when you need her but totally unobtrusive. Thank you so much Clare - yet again, we will be back. This is a very special place, worth travelling to. An essential part of my year.

Hidden away in the heart of the Suffolk countryside lies the gem that is Badwell Ash! This is a true escape from the rat race and a brilliant venue for relaxation surrounded by a myriad of wildlife who are always prepared to put on a show and entertain! Upon arrival there's a friendly welcome that awaits and a generous welcome hamper with all of your essential provisions...and a few essential luxuries! The lodge itself is a wonderful home from home with a lot of extras and is reminiscent of many a happy time spent in similar venues across the Highlands.

The hot tub is an undoubted highlight and we whiled away hours every day in the warm water looking up at the stars and supping champage/wine/beer! This is definitely how to live! The most technologically advanced shower I've ever come across is another key attraction...sauna...radio..wouldn't be surprised if it did the dishes too but there's a dishwasher for that task! Everything here just oozes class!

Badwell Ash is all about those extras that turn a break into a luxurious escape and it's not too far from home wherever you might be in the South East / London / East Anglia region.

You will struggle to find a better place to stay in England!
