Went to this lovely thatched roof hotel on KGB weekend 3 couples. The food was great and the evening meal on our first night was part of the deal excellent value for money. Jason and Rebecca the new Managers were a credit to the place, and I am sure will do very well there, as they were so helpful and cheerful. Our room was number 10 quite a nice room with everything we required, but had a damp smell about it, we could not see where it was coming from. Would certainly go back to this hotel again

Room Tip: Would upgrade next time

Just got back from a two night stay at the George, we had a KGB deal. There were 6 of us (3 couples). Fabulous accommodation: the rooms were spotless and well presented. We were met by the owner at our arrival, who then showed us to our rooms and could not be faulted. The food was fabulous and there was plenty of it.
Would highly recommend the George and we would go back again.
Credits to the managers; Jason and Rebecca.
also to the other members of staff.

Room Tip: you can ask there for any room suitable to your liking and they will try their best to accommodate y...

Have just returned from a weekend staying at the George. absolutely fabulous. Greeted by two smiling young lads, room was ready early. Had a fab lunch very reasonable. We were then shown to our room (We had upgraded) this was well worth the extra money. Rachel our waitress for the evening was so pleasant and helpful. The food in the resturant was well presented and plentyful. Jason and Rebecca the Managers were very friendly. I will visit this place again. Well done everyone.

Room Tip: Pay for the upgrade, roll top bath in bedroom, wet room and four poster bed. fab.

We have just came back form a two night stay at the George, we had a KGB deal. My friend upgraded our rooms as it was my birthday and a thank you to my husband for a excellent job on there bathroom.
We arrived on the Saturday and was met by two young lads on the bar who were very friendly and could not do enough for you. We stayed in the bar for lunch which was outstanding for the price. We was then taken to our rooms which were beautiful huge four posted bed and a lovely roll top bath which was fabulous, I could not wait to get in.
.
Included in the deal was a two course meal a wide selection to chose from and when the food was served by our lovely waitress Rachel who also served us in the morning, nothing was to much trouble.
The Managers Russell and Rebecca are a very friendly and are a credit to the business and there staff, are a credit to them.
Will we be back, well YES WE WILL ! we are hoping to go in the summer.
